  1. Past hour
  2. Who said he's betting ON the Tigers?
  3. create a win floor. you have to have 30 wins to qualify for the #1 pick. anything less than that and you can't pick higher than 4. or if a team falls below a certain win # -say less than 25 wins - you add wins to their lottery odds so it decreases the chances. until you incentivize winning, teams will continue to tank. its the smart strategy for bad teams in the nba where one player means so much. the pistons have had terrible lottery luck, but the one time they got the #1 pick, they got cade. turned the franchise around. ausar is a nice piece, and ivey was struck by injury, and holland is useless, but think about this team if they had picked #2 and gotten jalen green? and lets be honest, at the end kf the day the league is just going yo rig the results for the spurs or the narrative (lebron to cleveland, drose to chicago) so none of this really matters. 😉
  4. I think this is related to the (probably false flag) assassination threats against Putin, as if anyone outside the vetted inner circle could get anywhere near him.
  5. Pre-2025: Career-ender. 2025-26: Just another Tuesday.
  6. The simplistic basis of the post overall, but beyond that, the meme was in response to the sneeringly dismissive second sentence and its reductive tropes, which can't be reasoned with.
  7. Ted Turner was the God father of cable TV. I loved watching the Braves on TBS.
  8. I agree. which is why I think the solution to the tanking issue is the simplest one possible. straight lottery. 30 teams, 30 balls. If you suck, you should be better. Hire better GMs, develop better, whatever. Dont hand a generational talent to teams as a reward for sucking.
  9. Ted Turner did bring MLB broadcasts to the masses thru WTBS. Thus opening the way for cable “networks” and individual pay per view type of team broadcast. But he also allowed us to watch old movies with Turner Classic Movies
  10. Today
  11. How about Jack Morris? He can pitch to the score.
  12. Gage Workman is being called up...Carpy to the DL(likely) and they have to make room on the 40 man.
  13. i hope they do. well run franchises make their own luck.
  14. At this point, it would not surprise me if the Tigers would sign Jim Morris to pitch.
  15. ........and he's losing his stripes.
  16. I heard Paws has been gambling on Tiger games.
  17. I was surprised to see that he has been playing in the majors for 12 years. I didn't think it had been that long. He actually has a decent track record, but has not done anything for a couple of years.
  18. This is encouraging. We have reached 1939 'appeasement isn't working' stage of the conflict for the dem leaders.
  19. da fuq? That's insane.
  20. So, we have lost our elite SP and our gritty position players are all hurt. I guess we are just left with Paws?
  21. C'mon bullpen. This is your time to shine.
  22. There's more pesticide use in SE Michigan? I've lived in the south for a while now, and there's a bunch more needed down here. Also, a lot of the anti-pesticide (not all) stuff out there is junk science, so I immediately have some skepticism when I hear them blamed for something.
  23. The draft lottery selection show is this afternoon. I'm going to laugh if OKC jumps into the top 4.
