  1. Past hour
  2. Not sure if the postgame I listened to was a complete video, but from what I saw not a single question was asked of JB or Ausar about his minutes. You have a top 3 finalist for Defensive Player of the Year and nobody who's job it is to ask questions thinks it's important to ask why he only played 25 minutes in Game 1 of the NBA playoffs? Insanity, incompetence, or trying to ingratiate themselves with the organization. You pick.
  3. It is an odd way to say Borom is the starting LT.
  4. So every game in the second inning Dan Dickerson does a live read called Dollars on Deck, and then he refers to something that sounds like “blockbusters”, but not really. It also kind of sounds like “black busters” and r “Blake busters”, but he says it so fast that I can never pick it up. Anybody know what I’m talking about, and what it is he’s actually saying here?
  5. Holy heck, this is becoming more and more unwatchable
  6. Jeez Louise Jack he throws the ball away on an easy out at home.
  7. Jack Flaherty is not finding the strike zone amenable to his talents right now.
  8. If Underwood doesn't progress much from where he is now by September, I would bet on Michigan at least having a job sharing arrangement with another QB that can at least scan the field and hit an open receiver. Maybe they give him a couple of games to prove himself, but at some point he has to improve. And it is early. Maybe he doesn't turn into Tom Brady in the pocket but he at least should become functional in time. That along with his running ability and arm strength should be enough with the talent around him. Dante Moore took a minute to get better.
  9. Those throwback Boston home uniforms are pretty cool.
  10. Yeah, we boomers had it easier. We could go to state funded colleges that were nearly free compared to now. But there was always the omnipresent terror of being dragged into an unwinnable war in Southeast Asia and the discovery of drugs, especially bad drugs, that was a real scourge.
  11. Yeah, Whittingham definitely likes a running QB. Michigan is going to be fascinating to watch this year. Really tough schedule, but they have the tools to be really good. With that said, OSU has a really tough schedule as well. I am not sold they are a top 5 team at this point. Lots of new faces on both O and D, especially D. Sayin is very accurate but I am not convinced he can take over a game against a quality opponent by himself when he needs to. But, last year was his first year as QB1, and he did alright, so I am being nit picky probably.
  12. The general public waves start at 10 and continue 11:21.
  13. Riley bails out Jack Flaherty at the Green monster.
  14. yup - I think most people do. And as carefully as I do vet UM regents, I almost never vote the MSU or WSA slates exacty because I don't follow the issues at those schools. There was point a number of years ago when I did make a point of voting against all the incumbent MSU Trustees because they had mad a bad enough muddle in E. Lansing that it got on my radar.
  15. I once was thrown against a locker by a principal for having a bright green dart toy dart gun with which my buddies and I were playing assassin. Boomers and Gen X had different trajectories. My generation were worried about the dragons in D&D that could spray us with acid. Yours was worried that the brown acid was going to mess them up or about the draft board sending them to Vietnam.

And Wisconsin should flip - it's a faiirly moderate state. Beyond that there is a belief that trump has managed to alienate a lot of his supporters, but so far it's all anecdote and speculation. That's OK, but it's not proof. His overall approval numbers are down, but not down enough from where they always are to indicate numbers for a major re-alignment.
  17. another fourth liner who tries hard but has limited skill. he'll fit right in on the first line here.
  18. True. Touch may be a result of being rushed, or not having any offspeed pitch control. Mgoblog posts what the coaches saying about how players are coming along, and then translates that into what that probably means. If we start hearing about how well Carr and the transfer they have coming in are looking, that probably means that Underwood is not progressing.
  19. theyre bringing a lot of urban's old offense back. a lot more qb runs. that will take advantage of underwood's size and athleticism more. carr is athletic, but he has a pop gun arm. not sure he's a long term solution but it would depend on the offense they run. and if underwood did leave, they'll have LOTS OF MONEY left over to go get another qb.
  20. FWIW, I typically leave the regent races blank on my ballot as I don't know them and I don't really care.
