The way a bum like Chris Paddack looked the Tigers are on watch to get no-hit today. This guy's name might be Junk, but he's better than Paddack. -

Don't need HRs from him. Need getting on base consistently. My theory is Rookie Ball is a one story house A ball is two story bungalow AA ball is a 5-story walk up AAA ball is a 5-story walk up with a raised basement, only slighty up from AA because a lot of guys who have been to the show are in AAA The Majors is a 30-story skyscraper. It's by far the biggest jump in quality, so thinking he's going to repeat this at the MLB level is a bit silly, but they need a spark of some kind. I am sure there are a few very specific things they look at with each player and we don't know what those things are and the stats don't always tell that story. But Clark is challenging the Tigers right now. And the Tigers are like junk food. Empty calories. Yeah, they may rank well in offensive categories, but they are meaningless because they can't score runs. I mean, 2 runs off of Chris ****ing Paddock? That's disgraceful. Don't care how many hits they had last night - they didn't string many together and they won the game on a "how the hell did he pull that pitch?" home run. The win was nice, but not very encouraging. Like they accidentally ran into one.

The Free Press this morning called it a left arm radius fracture. Whatever that means...broken arm.... -
I think it was proper sentence structure and correct spelling that kinda gives it away. But a total giveaway was way he spelled Orbàn. No way does Trump know how to spell or use that ' above the a. Whatever it's called....lol

Stole this from someone on hfboards: The only players since the award was first given out in 1981 to win it and to have been 19 or younger when the NCAA season started are; Paul Kariya (17) Jack Eichel (17) Caleb Makar (19) Cole Caufield (19) Adam Fantilli (17) Macklin Celebrini (17) Max turned 20 during this season. Pretty cool!

maybe our view issn't so different - what makes secondary stuff good? Part if it is being able to throw it for strikes so batters can't spit on it. In that sense, on a given night, better command == better secondary stuff -
If Platner stays in his race, so should Swalwell.

I think most of the stuff coming out of his account was written by somebody else.

Max Plante has won the Hobey Baker. Have the Wings ever had a prospect win this? None from the list of winners jumps out me as Red Wings, but I only recognize half the names. https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/awards/awarddetail.php?award_id=126

Clark's sample is up to >50PA still small but getting significant, great BB/K ratio, great OBP. The only knock of any kind is 50 PA without a HR - which is also true of Torkelson and Greene right now....🤔

I just realized the NBA doesn't play any games on Saturday and finishes the season with all 30 teams playing on Sunday. Seems that maybe the NHL was trying to take advantage of having Saturday to itself but I still don't see why you don't have at least a couple games tonight.

I always thought his secondary stuff was weak. Two nasty pitches (sinker/ slider) working and he dominates. Yes, good command needed too obviously. When I watched him last year, if EITHER the command was off or one of his two "nasties" wasn't working he gave up too many walks (command) or hits (bad secondary stuff). That's why I am so interested in whether he develops a third pitch (Bondo's CHANGEUP!!!). I think if Montero develops his secondary pitches more... he's a better pitcher. More unhittable (if one of the two "nasties" isn't working) as he'll have other ways to keep hitters off balance. Better command and he'll be more consistent. I want both. Just my 2 cents.
