  1. Past hour
  2. Now is the time for Trump to put his money where his mouth is. He threatened to pour billions of our tax dollars, whatever that looks like, into Hungary to maintain fascism there. If he fails to do so, everyone else in the world can safely conclude he is, at long last, full of ****, and at that point they can **** with him as much as they want and get away with it. He's got one chance to maintain his Supervillain of the World status. It's put-up-or-shut-up time for him. If things break the right way, this has a chance to be a turning point for us as well.
  3. I though Garner was a decent manager who didn't have much talent to work with, probably the best manager of that entire sorry Tigers era between Anderson and Leyland. It was a real sharp move by Smith replacing him with Pujols. The other thing I remember about him was that he name was misspelled almost as much as Raburn. RIP Phil Gardner
  4. Human sacrifice of Meadows obviously.
  5. I've said that all along. I wasn't saying they were bad. I was saying that they were not doing well to start the season and that was the biggest reason they were losing. Or maybe the swept because they added Perez. Not sure.
  6. My second hand Phil Gardner story. Part of my wife's job when we moved to Detroit was to manage the Tigers radio network. WXYT had won the contract after several years at WJR. My wife had a get aquatinted meeting with Phil and his wife shortly before the season started. She mentioned how I was a Pirate fan growing up and that our son was born approximately 9 months after the 1979 World Series. The kicker, he's our only child. His wife laughed, he turned an interesting shade of pink.
  7. Today
  8. Is the Tiger pitching moving up in their rankings now after only giving up 3 runs this weekend? I still say Detroit has a top 5 pitching staff (potential).
  9. I watched it on mlb.com. I don’t know if it’s still there or not. He basically said that he and Phil had a lot in common, having worn the same uniforms and occupied the same positions and that even though Garner left the Tigers under less than favorable circumstances, Garner had nothing but good things to say about the Detroit organization and the city of Detroit. AJ was actually pretty somber.
  10. Great news! Also shows how Trump and Vance are not a positive to campaigns over there. Losers.
  11. I guess a fan would have to prove that was the actual ball. Keeping it? Good luck with that, prove that's the HR ball...😅😅
  12. Thanks! yes…. I think he DOES know it.
  13. While this falls in the relatively innocuous “world politics” bin… The fallout from this is very cross-cutting.
  14. I thought AJ‘s remarks regarding Phil Garner in the post game show were really good.
  15. Amazing! Viktor Orban and the Fiedsz party lost and Peter Magyar and the TISZA has won. Fascism was beat back in Hungary and democracy won!!!
  16. They can't refuse to authenticate out of spite.
  17. He may struggle at times this season, most hitters have cold stretches. Especially young players who aren't used to playing such a long season. Many times, they wear down. Keeping slumps as short as possible is key, don't be like Riley.
  18. Ukraine is the biggest beneficiary (aside from the Hungarian people) of Orban's loss today. Who is the biggest loser? Putin... or Trump/ MAGA/ right wing USA Fascists...? I say Putin loses his biggest European partner-in-crime with Orban out.
  19. Bridges is going to play today and exit on the first whistle. He's doing it to keep his games played streak alive. Kinda BS if you ask me.
  20. Orban conceded. That should eliminate any possibility of violence. Maybe, at least
  21. Where’s that cute girl sweep graphic?
