  1. Past hour
  2. He’s the greatest there ever has been and the greatest there ever will be. Forgot GOAT, he’s the Zeus of Con Men.
  3. I disagree. One thing that they can't do on that show is to have a "Crisis Of The Season". To have some sort of Mass Casualty event ever year. That would get old and very predictable. It's like the cop show were suddenly someone from the squad's family is targeted. It seems to happen every season on some shows. No, The Pitt's wasn't as action-packed as the first season, but that's by design. This season had two different kind of crises with the information outage and then the staff themselves. The true "crisis" was a slow burn and I thought they did an excellent job of showing how the stress of emergency medicine effects people in different ways. I thought the ending was really good because they didn't just answer questions and wrap it up - they showed the ongoing problem of it all. Maybe around the 4th of July, I am going to put that season on and just let the whole thing play out in real time. The whole season. I won't just sit there and watch it all but I will have it running on 1 tv all day to maybe get a sense of things. The real-life version of Dr. Robby was an ER doctor named Lorna Breen. Read about her. It's a devistating story. I think she actually might be the inspiration for this show. The healers need healing.
  4. They won 6 in a row… losses happen.
  5. Yes, that’s why I said they would be the guts of the trade. I don’t know who else would have to be included. Danielson? The bigger point is that Stevie was rumored to have been exploring EP40 at the trade deadline. Could a trade like this be a springboard out of purgatory? Or would it be an anchor?
  6. Oral Hershiser says WTF, man. Fun Fact: He grew up and played Little League in Southfield until he was 12. Maybe I got a bit hyperbolic with my Soriano praise but he’s on fire. His pitch metrics are off the chart too. His Sinker is right there with Skubal’s Changeup.
  7. I don't remember, but I'm guessing the little stamping is cheaper than chrome plating. Whatever is cheaper is always the answer.
  8. Harris definitely does not do deals just for the sake of doing deals.
  9. And the dirty little secret is that far from being resentful of being manipulated, the market is all on the scheme.
  10. That woulda opened a can of worms. With Vierling already outta the game, move Perez to CF and bring in Carpenter for RF? IDK if I woulda pitched to the speedy LH hitter, a RH hitting catcher was on deck. And 2nd base was open, walk the hitter to set up a force at any base or a possible DP? Thats a tough call, it's why Hinch makes the big bucks. Whichever doesnt work is the wrong call...😅😅
  11. Yeah. OK. How did that work out for the Tigers? I'm sure he was really hitting LH pitchers in the International League. AAA hitters don't always have success at the ML level. And his defense was the biggest worry. Going 0-3 is no big deal, most young players don't have immediate success. It would be asinine to expect immediate success. 😆 All I'm saying is the risk-reward heavily favored the risk. You wanna call him up to fill in at 2nd or 3rd as a utility player, fine. But to start him when other regulars are being rested? The shutout outcome was fairly predictable. And again, it's pure hindsight...v
  12. Today
  13. When game got to "close, late" esp at the end where anything to the OF wins it and DP could have saved it, I'd have wanted Javy at short and McG at 3rd - mid inning if need be. In Hinch's defense, Fenway is a place where the odds a of a game being won by IF defense quality are lower than most places.
  14. The ballpark is irrelevant. He was called up because he hits lefties, and there was a lefty on the mound. It's absolutely asinine to suggest a player needs to spend their first game on the bench.
  15. Max is not the weakest link.

  17. Don Drysdale says, “Hold my beer”
  18. Well, good luck tomorrow when we face, what may be, the 2nd best LH starting pitcher in the AL. This Tiger team was desperate for a big RH bat last fall. We didn't get one.
  19. I hope we can score more runs than yesterday.
  20. I would bet the decision to sit Colt and Riley was matchup-based.
  21. He has been awesome, but the best five game stretch ever would have to have more than 32.2 IP.
  22. True, but he didn't sign major free agents either...until he got Valdez. The bigger problem is that they aren't going to get anything major for Greene. He's got some value to a team, but he's not a star and he'll be getting more expensive.
  23. In general, yes, I don't mind Keith getting some more time vs LHPs. However, they just called Lee up. They're playing, what 13 in a row? They're going to give position players a day off or two during this stretch. You've got a point about resting both Keith and Greene in the same game. He had a bad game in a 0-1 loss. If he had a net zero game, nobody squawks.
  24. Because your WAR in last night's game was a -0.6.
  25. Why is everybody talking about me? You ask me how I am doing and then you tell me I am not ready. What's going on?
