It is almost the exact opposite when you at Grants time....we won waay more with him out. Still shocked they could not move him, but I guess the other teams know what most of us already do. I am sick of watching other players pass up good shots to throw it back to him...it is like a mandate from the coach or something. Yesterday I saw sooo many times a player had a good shot and passed it up to a covered Grant for him to jack up a shot.2 points

You know it is not a simple as that. There were Americans left behind in Afghanistan because they were making sure families of diplomats and other soft targets were evacuated ahead of them. The Taliban are systematically slaughtering anyone who worked with us including their families still today.1 point

That's the thing Trump and his political allies understand better than anything, if you tell a lie over and over again, as long as you just keep more or less the same lie going, people will eventually start believing you and doubting the truth. They also understand you can muddy up the truth by telling those same lies and get people to become apathetic and believe all politics and all politician are the same and equally crooked or unscrupulous. When in reality, they are just full of shit and lack more scruples than almost anyone. Lying and deciding is an artform for Trump and his political allies like Meadows, Gym Jordan, Guliani, Flynn, Powell, Lindell, and others. To your point, because they have hammered home this election lie so many times over the course of a year or more, very viewing on Newsmax, Fox, OAN, believes them.1 point

If you've changed the draft order for teams, that began in order of a mathematical record, in favor of a random "lottery"... The draft order has inherently been distorted.1 point

I'm fine with the Bagley move now. It gets rid of JJ and Lyles, who both needed to go and you get to try out Bagley before you buy. Even more importantly, it gets you a rim threat which you need for Cade and Killian's development. The guards are getting killed out there with these double teams and nobody to take the pressure off of them on the pick n roll. He's also a solid rebounder, which we desperately need. Not saying we're trying to win games here, but let's try to make it more competitive. Of course, this all depends upon Casey not just slotting Bagley into the Lyles spot and having him go out there and create his own shots on spots ups and isolations. That's what the Kings did and it will end in disaster here too. He's got to be used as a rim threat where his numbers are very good over the course of his short career.1 point

The team has the second worst offensive rating when he's in the lineup - second only to Stewart. A lot of this is on Grant. But let's be honest, a ton of it is on Casey. This is the most simple-minded offense in the league. There's zero creativity, very little ball movement, and almost no off-ball movement or screening. Casey also obviously doesn't coach shot selection or cater plays to specific players strengths. The end result is a ton of isolation play, which puts Jeremy in the worst possible position to use his strengths. I want to say that the top priority this off-season is moving Grant, but I think it's actually far more important to either move Casey into a development role so we can get a real coach, or do what Toronto did and get him an offensive coordinator. A Casey team will never play above the sum of its parts and most often it will play below it's potential. On top of that, it's having a negative impact on the development of key guys like Cade, Bey, and even Killian.1 point

In that case, I'll listen to Devil Without a Cause by Kid. I must have played Only God Knows Why, Cowboy, and Bawitdaba 10,000 times each in high school. Only God Knows Why is still a great album cut though.1 point

it's was an odd symmetry that the Ilitchs ended up with Kenny Holland and Dave Dombrowski, who were both so dismissive the right/left balance of their teams in the two sports where it makes such a big difference. The lack of right side shots alone had to have been a big piece of the years of RW power play ineptitude.1 point

Those 20 run games happened the first week I discovered the internet. I was looking at news groups and there was a messageboard where people all over the country were talking about baseball. And someone mentioned the Tigers. It was amazing!1 point

How old were you when you realized that the D on the Tigers hat and jersey used to be different?1 point

Well, it's probably too late to give Trump an enema to see if he consumed it.1 point

It's not "essential" in basketball! It hasn't changed behavior one iota, nor has it had the slightest impact in the NHL. It is an irrational response to a mythical problem. It's all perception, not reality.1 point

why would the lions draft a running back in round 2? why would the giants give up 5 and 7 to get to 2? come on tater. lol.1 point

Again...points to the fact that Weaver thinks Grant is a lot better player than he really is.1 point

Your part about hindering Cade is what worries me. There is not enough of a sample size yet but the Pistons have been awful since Grant came back. And Cade got injured his first game back. I like the Pistons a lot better when they go small with Saddiq and Cade at forward. Weaver's honeymoon is behind us. Pressure is on. He remains loyal to a coach who is probably one of the worse in the league at developing offensive sets. He was quick to part with players from the former regime (which is fine) yet Killian appears to have a long leash (should be in the g league) when he is a terrible fit next to Cade. And now you have the Grant situation, where he has some irrational loyalty to a guy that goes deeper than his value as a basketball player.1 point

I just dislike Sean McVay more than I like Matthew Stafford.1 point

Matthew Stafford has given me more enjoyment as a fan than the Ford family has. Yes I want for him to win the Super Bowl, this year, next year, and every year until he retires. If his Rams somehow end up in the playoffs against the Lions I'll probably root for the Lions.1 point

He's a scaremonger. If you listened to him 18 months ago we were all going to be dead by now. Basically every few weeks he tells us the sky is falling and things are going to hell. Yes, sometimes he's right but broken clock.1 point

I wonder if he even unwrapped his McDonalds and just ate it whole wrappers and all?1 point

Trump never had COVID. He checked into Walter Reed because he had a bowel obstruction from all the documents he ate.1 point

I'm 'meh' with this album. Her debut album was really good, the follow up was decent. Check out her leading the band Buffalo Clover, that was fantastic.1 point

A co-worker once told me the Lions should have drafted Johnny Manziel because Stafford couldn't take a team to the Super Bowl. I may get fired for creating a hostile workplace for this employee.1 point
