When you find out that one of your good friends is now cancer-free! 😀3 points

Do you think you’re going to have an actual discussion with the guy?2 points

Good point. I think Trump fans believe that all women secretly crave the attention. Reinforced by the types of women (MTG groping Trump's cardboard cutout being a good example) who gravitate towards him.2 points

It's been a while since a Tiger game felt that adrenaline filled... the big crowd in St Louis no doubt is a factor2 points

On one hand, the calls are very questionable. On the other hand, angry Cardinal tears give me life2 points

The ump is probably right on these calls. A curve is falling rapidly as it crosses the plate. That fact that the catcher catches it below the box doesn't mean it's not a strike.2 points

This is the good Javy I told you guys about when we signed him.2 points

Especially taking one now with how much teams limit their SP's workload. I mean even 10 years ago you could atleast count on your "ace" taking you through 7 most nights barring an off night, nowadays teams are so cautious with even the best pitchers they rarely let them go past 6 unless they are absolutely dominating. So at best you're looking at maybe 200 innings pitched now, unless you pitch like prime Pedro there is only so much value that can provide over the course of the season with that few innings.2 points

I like all of the new guys better than every single guy that Harris replaced.2 points

Picking this high, I want a hitter. I don't want to waste it on a pitcher.2 points

What the ****. Schoop does not have an RBI and it's May 6th and the third base coach should have to fly home separately1 point

My distaste for the St Louis team goes back to the 1964 World Series. Being the new kid in my seventh grade class who haled from north of the Mason Dixon Line. I hated the Yankees just as much but decided to back them that series to the tune of $12. That's a lot of pop bottles to a 12 year old.1 point

Seems the Cubs went more this route for their contention run and WS title during 2016+/- years. It makes sense and we already have several young 'high draft pick' SP choices on the current roster - Now, can we keep them healthy to get 2 of 3-4 for several years at 175 IP🤔.1 point

That guy...man, him and Joe Buck not doing WS broadcasts will be a net positive for humanity.1 point

The ceremony involving the commonwealth forces is impressive to me. This reflecton of the good parts of the Empire has always been a testament to Queen Elizabeth and Winston Churchill's will to make a positive of the end of the Colonial era. And on balance it is.1 point

100%. A ball can pass through a 3 dimensional strike zone and still hit the catcher in the shoes.1 point

That was a great job by Englert after the walk. Left it all out there probably.1 point

What a gutsy battle Englert engaged in there. Mad respect.1 point

Can't pinch hit for Schoop of course because Baddoo is "the last man on the bench", a self-inflicted wound.1 point

Lol that reminds me of a story Sean Casey tells. Playing for the Red Sox, he was thrown out twice within a week, trying to stretch a single into a double. After the second one he was furious so when he got to the dugout Terry Francona put his hand on his shoulder and walked him back towards the clubhouse. When they were safely out of earshot of the rest of the players Francona turned to him and said "are you sure you don't have polio?"1 point

Serious question: for everybody here who has watched alot of baseball for alot of years, does it seam like the strike zone just get's worse and worse every season recently? Maybe it's the little tv strike zone box graphic, but my gawd, these umps are BAAAD. Really seams like these guys are asking for robot umpires at thus point. I really dont recal the strike zone being so consistently bad....1 point

What a hilarious skit, and a great concept all us old people can totally relate to. 😁1 point

Riley has been hitting well lately. I know they are facing a lefty, but if a guy is a bona fide MLB player, he's going to have to face lefties. Vierling and Baddoo both make that play easily. I feel bad for Ibanez.1 point

Ibanez has never played the OF in the majors...........and that's your result.1 point

Erod has inspired Javy, they both realized that if they perform they can get the hell out of here at the end of the year!1 point

I think your Blazers may be just as if not more cursed than the Pistons when it comes to the lottery and early draft picks. With your guys luck you will get the number 1 pick and take Victor and he will be oft injured meanwhile Scoot or whoever was drafted right after will turn into a HOF.1 point

So after getting our cosmic justice against Scherzer and Verlander, the Tigers are now 13-17. My over-under for the tough 40*-game stretch to start the season was 12-28, so … yeah, they should have that beat pretty good. Here’s the funny thing: we now have three against the Cards, three against the Guards, and three against the M’s, all of whom were playoff teams last year, but now, all of whom are well under .500 as of this morning. And then the easy stretch was supposed to start in game 41 against the … you guessed it … PIRATES! But then we have ten more against legitimately terrible teams (WSN, KCR, CHW). Add it all up, and what the hell, I’m gonna say it: we have a puncher’s chance of being .500 on Memorial Day! * - The Giants game that got rained out makes it 39 now.1 point
