The Athletic did a story about the most unflattering sports cards. Tobias was #1. I guess they give away part of a game worn uniform. The uniform is from his Clipper days and Bumble was their uniform sponsor.

My son just called me upon leaving the local Regal RPX theater after watching James Gunn’s new Superman and he said it’s the most incredible superhero movie he’s ever seen and he’s been watching them for 15 years now so he’s kind of an expert. I trust his judgment on this. He said it easily exceeds Endgame which was pretty incredible. Sometime tomorrow we’ll see it in standard.

He has a special place in my memory. He pitched at my first Tigers game in 1972. He had a multi year window with electric stuff. I have a gazillion of his baseball cards because of that first game. LOL, I may not be a man of the world like you, but I'm painfully aware of those things. Painfully aware. In fact, I think anyone who has attended public jr high and high schools becomes very aware of those things at an early age. I also know that Trump likes to appeal to his base, but I just don't believe he is calculating and nuanced about it as you claim.

you dont have to. you just increase the cap. the real problem will be telling the low revenue owners that there is no longer any penalty for spending money on salaries. the nba has created a labryinth of exceptions, carve outs, and exceptions to exceptions that make everything much more complicated. i cant just trade X player for Y player. i have to trade X player for Y+Z's salary to create an exception so i can sign Z. its much less interesting to most people who are die hard nba junkies like yourself.

We are enjoying an unprecendented run of great baseball covering two seasons now and are positioned for that ( contending) to continue for the foreseeable future and I am not interested on trading that for one player who "might" bring us a title. Championships are great of course but multiple months of contending baseball with a chance at a Title is worth more to me. Stay the course.
