Me neither. It was a historic finish and a great story. The post-season is mostly a crap shoot. If you base your satisfaction on whether or not your team wins the World Series, you have a 97% chance of being disappointed!2 points

Lots of reasons. Selling family home where I took care of my dad, but staying in Jersey too pricey. I have a sister/brother-in-law in DE, I’ll be 15 minutes from them… and I really like the area (college town). So many things to do. I’m being optimistic, and going to enjoy whatever is left of my life at this point. I’m going to worry about me first, for a change.2 points

People I know who’ve been to Ireland this year say the Irish are thrilled to see Americans visiting. For one thing, the locals know the visitors are The Good Ones, and for another, they like hearing people slagging Trump in an American accent.2 points

1st two picks look like Scott Harris type of under slot to load up later specials1 point

Hope the Tigers trade up. Oh, yeah, forgot—the MLB draft is lame.1 point

Shades of 1984 when the 35-5 Tigers got swept by the Mariners.1 point

I don’t know if Flaherty got the handshake or not, but it sure would be nice if these guys could score some runs.1 point

Seattle is a great example of winning the regular season doesnt get you a World series trophy1 point

162 is a grind. Don’t get too high. Don’t get too low. A 4 game losing streak is better than shoveling 4 inches of snow. Stay thirsty, my friends.1 point

After watching Merrick Garland operate for four years, I kinda think this is the base case1 point

I recently heard "Maybe that grass is greener because you aren’t over there f-ing it up." I think that might be fitting for this one too.1 point

Right, I don't get why people are triggered by it. Harris is way better, but that doesn't mean Avila didn't contribute something to this team.1 point
-
I hope Avila takes some pride in that. He deserves it. Two things can be true at the same time. He did help build a foundation in terms of systems and people but someone else had to take it to the next level. No shame in that. Half of the experts on Tigers Twitter wanted Harris fired 11 months ago so F them too.1 point

Posting a plug for an ESPN e60 documentary on Jim Abbott and his no-hitter, called "Southpaw" that airs this Sunday at 9pm ET. From the trailer it looks inspirational. one thing is for sure, there's no way i'm giving up two top ten prospects for a star player. can you imagine giving up miller AND maybin? no way.1 point

there's also a universe where we have two hall of fame starters in their prime and get swept by the giants. 😞1 point

We are enjoying an unprecendented run of great baseball covering two seasons now and are positioned for that ( contending) to continue for the foreseeable future and I am not interested on trading that for one player who "might" bring us a title. Championships are great of course but multiple months of contending baseball with a chance at a Title is worth more to me. Stay the course.1 point

omg. In a couple of months, I’ll no longer be a Jersey Girl. I’ll be a Delawarean (is that right? Looks odd) …. I can’t believe I’ll have to pump my own gas. That stinks. Who can I talk to about that? 🤪1 point

He’s a prospect. Most wash out and most won’t even reach their ceilings. However, when they do, it’s exciting, but I doubt anyone can reliably predict who it’s going to be. That’s why you collect as many as you can.1 point
