  5. Or failing that, I was at the gym this morning with one week to get into game shape in case Todd calls on me when I’m at Habs @ Wings next Thursday.

  7. Remember when our MAGA rep here told Edman to take off his tin foil hat when he suggested this thing could happen? Good times.

  8. Just to step back for a second, the "pro-peace", "low gas price" President has now delivered us a war on the Middle East and a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, and as a result of this, we have now seen wholesale spikes in the price of gasoline and diesel fuel. And we still have yet to hear why exactly why any of this is happening. And on the "touching grass" front, given how the public increasingly sees this Presidency, would suggest that those who continue to cheerlead this thing on may be the ones who need to touch more grass

  9. My fill up was about $9 more this morning than last time I had to fill. Are we calling this the "Epstein Pal Protection Tax"?

  11. That’s OK, because regime collapse is not a stated goal of this war. Nor is nuclear containment. What is the goal? Does anyone know?

  12. The irony of an online troll telling someone to "go touch grass" on an internet forum is fantastic

  13. They knew this dude was a potential risk. Probably the same with the guy in West Bloomfield. Maybe if Homeland Security and ICE would keep track of serious possible risks rather playing cowboy to harass blue states, these events might not have happened. But what do I know, I'm just a woke lib who needs to smell grass (once the snow melts)

  14. We now have a corner, a center and a RB2. Chef Brad....cooking. Draft an edge rusher, more OL help and more secondary help. And possibly a tight end?

  15. My heart is breaking. Had to say goodbye to Sam today. A quick, sudden health issue that couldn’t be resolved. He was 18. I adopted him 11 years ago, and he was my dog Lucy’s partner in crime. for now, I’ll be pet less for a couple months to give my heart time to heal. Then I’ll be looking for another one or two companions for me at the shelter. Goodbye, Sammy-Sammy/Buddy-buddy. 💔

  23. Off topic, kind of. I was doing some research on the oil shock of 1973, which was one of the times things got all ****ed up, and if there might be anything to learn for today. This could probably go in the history thread, but it fits here. Long article by the LA Times written in Nov. 1993. 20 years after the 73 embargo. Fun to read the narrative from then.

  26. He made nothing. If they wanted to roster him no reason to risk losing him today when you can just cut him in August. He is just a guy who has missed games every year, had 5 sacks total in three years. I think they cut him cause he couldn’t be counted on and time to try another body.

  27. When I go outside I smell the wonderful middle eastern bakery that’s run by immigrant and if maga had their way wpuld be kicked out and that storefront would be filled with stinky **** stained maga folks in camo jackets that smell like diesel fuel.

  28. Is this the same Karren Whitsett who missed all 30 legislative session days between September and December of last year as reported on by the Detroit News? Is this the same Karen Whitsett that voted against a water affordability bill while she represents some of the poorest zip codes in the state? Is this the same Karen Whitsett that said President Trump helped cure her of Covid due to him recommending hydroxychloroquine as a remedy. I think it is. Not surprising that some as lazy and dumb as Karen Whitsett would switch parties.

  29. “… no credible evidence against him”. Jesus Christ. Nothing changes. Victim statements mean nothing. Investigations not done. People paid off. Cover ups. Nothing changes. Sexual assault victims are always at the disadvantage, and predators know this. And RICH predators laugh in your face. It’s ****ing nauseating.

  31. I enjoy inter league play because it allows fans from all teams opportunities to see stars on teams from the other league. Example: I went to the Dodgers/Tigers game this past year with a couple family members and got to see Ohtani and crew. This year I’m going to go to a Tigers game at Wrigley. Those types of things didn’t have the possibility to exist when I was younger outside of a World Series.
