I'm curious-does he consider things like the Epstein files and talk of the online rape academy distractions? Sounds like the ultimate example of the tangled web we weave when we try to deceive.2 points

I don't know if this story will get traction or if the American public is totally somnolent at this point, but our inability to defend our bases should be a huge story.2 points

My mistake it’s either Washington Federal or Washington Trust. What bothers me is having to deal with Cal Raleigh over and over again1 point

Didn't McGonigle pop out twice to third yesterday? Opposing pitchers figure out something?1 point

Oh look- gambling odds for tonight’s game. Sure haven’t missed that lately. Betting on baseball outcomes is the dumbest use of money I can think of outside of things our government does.1 point

The NBA playoffs are baby steps. Advance every season, a little further. Until a team has the experiences, coaching and players to win a championship. Are the Pustons there yet? No, not quite. Still some experiences and a player or two away. But having a team that competes deep into a season and into the playoffs makes a basketball season fun for all the Detroit fans. Just pure joy...1 point

They played great basketball outside of that one terrible stretch in the mid 4th quarter. Jenkins and Harris picked a good time to have their best games and Cade was constantly good in the last 3 games although helped by Wagner being out. Hopefully they use this as a learning experience and be better next series because it's only going to get tougher especially if Cleveland is the opponent.1 point

Sure would be nice if Tobias could keep his touch from 3 for the remainder of the playoffs…..1 point

this is when super casual cade hurts them. combine that with no one else being able to dribble and all of a sudden things are getting a little too close for comfort.1 point

they cant take cade out of the game for 2 minites without the team falling apart.1 point

make banchero give up the ball, and for god's sake dont double off bane!1 point

Come out of the half like last game and step on their throats. Make them fight just to get it across half court. Pressure the ball. We saw what they can do when they want to. Do it.1 point

I’ve never coached an NBA team before. But if I’m coaching the Pistons in the 2nd half, I’m starting with Cunningham, Thompson, Harris, Stewart, and Duren. On offense, I’m going at Banchero whenever possible to wear him down, maybe get some cheap fouls on him.1 point

I hope they come out of the gate and just crush Orlando's spirit with the same suffocating defense we saw in the second half of game 6. They can't keep coming out looking half interested and flip the switch to fix it.1 point

Love this, especially after Vegas and every national writer essentially crowned Boston the best team in the East before the playoffs started. It won't be as fun if we lose as well, but for now I can celebrate a little.1 point

The NYT (of all people) did a podcast interview with Tucker Carlson. It was interesting, one of his biggest complaints was exactly how the media was normalizing what this admin was doing - in his case his concern was over the normalization of what he considers an immoral murderous foreign policy and all the happy talk about killing innocent people, but his complaint about the oligarchy keeping everyone distracted with issues that are fundamentally unimportant while ignoring the things that actually affect the lives of everyday Americans could have come from any progressive, and he even said as much.1 point

I really do believe there's a reckoning of some kind coming. We can debate whether it's sufficient or good enough because it may be more about material conditions (ie. Gas prices) versus issues like abortion or immigration, but people are angry and there will be a response politically Having said all that, what I despair about is that all of this stuff is happening, and he says and does all the stuff that he does, and people who know better in elite circles, whether it be the media or in business or what have you... They see everything we all see, but they downplay it or turn away and act like it's NBD or "politics as usual" It's really been a blackpill for me to see how much Trump has done to alienate a large majority of the American public, only to see elite circles try to downplay it all. It's enough to make me think they're fine with all this BS1 point

Let's not forget about the online rape academy, where men are sharing how to drug their wives and rape them without being caught. Sadly, Sue, I really think that we women are mostly on our own. I'm beginning to think that the poem that ends 'and then one day they came for me....' should have a line in which they come for the women.1 point

Brought to you by Project 2025, which our disgusting ethically challenged liar of a President swore he never heard of. The damn playbook that is a checklist determined to send every woman spiraling back to the “good old days”. If you have a wife, a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece that you love, you need to be fighting like hell for her. It feels like we’ve been condemned to death.1 point

I watched the 1st in total. When the second started my wife got home and we had to give my son his testosterone shot which can be an ordeal. It took the whole second quarter to get thru that when I walked out and saw the score going into halftime. “That’s it” I thought. Sat down kind of exhausted from the shot, opened a beer, and resumed texting with an old friend who lives in Denver that was watching and reached out before the game. I had intentions of putting the Tigers on but since this was on prime the remote to do tha was just enough out of reach that I didn’t want to move. Then as the lead for Orlando dwindled I stayed interested My friend said she was bailing but she apparently didn’t as she frantically texted me to put it back on. it wasn’t even just the win… it was a freaking blowout. I’m trying to position this historically. I guess that depends on tomorrow too. so chalk one up for Prime. If it were on something else I may have cut over earlier.1 point
