  1. Candelario is hitting over .150. Just saying.
  2. This is true. At some point, Torkelson should get a semi day off of his feet at DH. Ibanez at 1B, Maton & McKinstry flanking Baez. Or maybe DH Baddoo for a partial day off as well. I guess I question Maton at DH because he’s IF flexible, but with Short on the bench and Ibanez & McKinstry able to move around if needed, it probably doesn’t matter much.
  3. Hey, at least Greene gets to play tonight.
  4. Its not too hard to fathom another gun owner taking measures into their own hands and shooting this guy. Then, if you've got the two shooting at each other, and the cops show up, what do they do? You've got the two civilians just going about their "2nd 'mendment" day, and now its exacerbated into a whole other issue. And if this guy keeps showing up at a school bus stop, where are the authorities? Isn't it a bit of a diachotomy/contradiction here?
  5. I thought official scorer first, but then possibly an intern as the scorer might be too occupied.
  6. He absolutely should be next season, yes. I understand he inherited a grease fire. But he's been in charge for 3 seasons now. This franchise needs to show improvement. I don't know if the playoffs are realistic. I would expect maybe a tough beginning of the season because they're going to have a new coaching staff, and there's probably still some getting to know Cunningham with Ivey & Duren and whatever other pieces are held over. And that doesn't incorporate any other roster changes that they'll have. So, I'll be interested in the back 2/3 of the season. What do they look like then? Is there a core to build upon long term? Are there supporting cast and role players on the roster to make a legitimate case for the playoffs in 24-25?
  7. I really don't think the overhang turned any fly balls into home runs. But it makes for fun lore.
  8. That's true, they are an outlier. But what's wrong with wanting to be the next outlier?
  9. This is rhetorical, right?
  10. I don't remember Bogdanovich being tied to any time in particular, but I could be nonremembering.
  11. Bad vibes with this guy. Let someone else have that risk.
  12. Detroit Tigers vs Washington Nationals Watch: Nationals - MASN, Tigers - Bally Sports Detroit Listen: Nationals - WJFK 106.7 The Fan, Tigers - 97.1 The Ticket
  13. That's a great point.
  14. I think I like Cam Whitmore or Taylor Hendricks at 5 just looking over numbers. I see Jarace Walker mentioned, but I don't like his shooting percentages as much. So, here's something that hasn't been brought up. Would it be worth trading up into 2-4? Or, would it be worth trading down for ****/Sensabaugh/Whitehead/Murray? Tough to say on either trade scenarios without knowing what the other pieces are and what happens with the rest of the roster.
  15. I've considered switching all of grass mower, snow blower, and weed wacker to battery powered. I think the only thing holding me back, besides procrastination, is the earlier season grass mowing where the lawn is a little more unkempt at the beginning and the usually wetter weather. Its not ideal with a gas mower either, but it seems like you can get away with that on a damper lawn if it needs to be done. Or maybe I just get some goats and tell the wife to take care of the snow?
  16. Just to build off of that, Miami has had 60 draft picks in its history. The top ten picks that they've have are: It sucks to miss out on Wembanyama. But Miami seems to have found a way to be competitive without tanking beforehand.
  17. Was it better than the pierogi race?
  18. Paredes is still only 24 years old, too. I still think the trade made sense at the time. It just isn't working out well for the Tigers.
  19. That was my impression of it as well.
