I think this is it. I think he wants to get through the 1st trip of these lefties and then will go to Olson vs a mostly RHH rest of the lineup. And we might see Holton start off the game tomorrow as well.

Houston, you have a problem.

I think its a matter of putting pressure on the Astros. Keep them down while hoping to scratch out an early lead. Get the early lead, and now the Astros have to adjust to another pitcher their next time through. The Tiger staff, at current status, is probably best when giving the opposition one look per game. In addition, get the early lead and avoid Hader in must score situations. Take away Houston's ability to get him into a game while playing from behind. Its an elimination game for Houston now. They'll probably be quick to use whatever tricks they have in their bag now.

He needs to ditch the leather and take the field with one of those base running oven mitts.

I don't know. There's going to be a need for someone in the dugout to have some sort of "feel" of the game. Perhaps we on the outside don't recognize that the "feel" might be different than what we've known, or perhaps the "feel" was somewhat misunderstood in the past.

Do I just listen to it live on radio or do I watch the recording after work? If the latter, do I get a bike ride in after work and before watching the recording?

Before I left for work today, I looked at our calendar hanging in the kitchen and noted Rosh Hashanah this week. In no way, shape, or form did I expect that to brought up in a baseball thread. Funny how those ironies present themselves sometimes.

Well, the rookie team has the veteran manager and the veteran team has the rookie manager. Gotta factor that in, too.

I'm taking it one day at a time. Today is Monday. Game 1 is on Tuesday. I want to get through Monday before I worry about Tuesday.
