I think Correa gets at least 10 years and over $300M. I don't know what Baez will get, but it shouldn't be $250M. I think that's way too much for him. I definitely wouldn't want the Tigers to go more than 4 years for him. I saw an estimate of 5/$100M for him. I think that's probably reasonable.

One of the positives about Baez is that he is one of the afterthoughts of the SS market and won't command the years or salary of the primary targets. It could be that a contract is constructed such that there are options built in the protect against the aging of his skills.

I was thinking about a lineup this morning, specifically with respect to Correa. It is a credit to the depth of Houston's lineup, but it seems crazy to look at Correa's history and note that he's batted 5th/6th in the lineup more than higher lineup in recent seasons. And I'm with you, I would bet Greene & Torkelson are making the team out of camp. It'll be interesting to see how Hinch & Co incorporate them into the lineup once they do make their debuts. Will he throw them into the fire or will he slot them so as not to put too much pressure on them?

In addition to taking up beds, what happens when unvaxxed medical employees are no longer medical employees? Hey, I'm with you, the unwilling to get vaxxed can sit outside the hospital and wait for vacancy. Maybe I'm going about medical situations the wrong way? I think back to situations where my kid was hospitalized, where my mother was hospitalized, serious situations like that. I usually asked questions to the medical staff rather than give directives. Maybe I was wrong to do so, but the medical staff were the ones trained in that realm, so I relied on their knowledge. I personally had no idea how get my 7 year old through eColi, but, hey, if it during COVID, I guess I should have gotten out my Operation board game or jumped on Facebook for options and then told the medical staff what to do.
