I don't do assignments for fucking deuchebags. Oh, you wanted to talk about the immediate resolutions to the lithium problems? Not interested in today's AND tomorrow's resolutions? You could have said that. But this is about the 4th time you've followed one of my comments by being an asshole. GFY. I already gave you several immediate resolutions which you decided to ignore; and instead decided to deuchebag it. How close are you to your deathbed screw? I need to set my watch.

Is that the one with Pitt...? It looked good IIRC from the trailers.

It's something to think about. But... I don't think this team is done rebuilding yet. So to me, it doesn't make sense to trade two assets for one. I know Soto has proven more... But we need quantity AND quality. And the problem here is that both Greene & Tork may become as productive as Soto. That's a huge bet... and I understand if you and Lee are opining that you'd rather have the known quantity (Soto) rather than two unknowns that MAY be as good as the known one. If you asked me that in 3 years... and our team was nearly built, and we needed just that one monster bat to put us at or over the top... then yes, I would be perfectly willing to trade Jung & Jobe and the multiple other prospects it would take to get him. Plus Lee's caveat that you know you could sign him... because I am loathe to give up a boatload of high end prospects for a rental. I also want the known (commitment/ control) quantity. But today... I'm just not yet ready to make that move...

I gave you a Thank You for that...!

Contemptible fucks... as usual.

PS: Weren't EV's pie in the sky 10 years ago? Grow the fuck up.

Or someone needs to have the intelligence to have that conversation, which you seem to be struggling with. This has already been discussed by the US Government. In fact, this has been under discussion the past 6 years. We are already capable of doing that. And the first step does not have to include ROI, it simply has to prove out the technology. But you're too close to your deathbed to be worrying about pie in the sky BS, amirite?

I wouldn't call myself gun shy at all... More along the lines of: "OK, now let's see some real progress! Prove it!" Especially with the new coach. And Stevie has given him the tools/ talent to try to make some progress... so... let's see it.

I think that is incorrect. I think Al survives, and will not be kicked to the curb by Ilitch. The first question to me is: Will Ilitch keep Avila in the GM spot or... kick him upstairs? He'll survive either way, on that basis IMO: either as GM, or as President with a new up-and-comer coming in as GM. -

That means I'm EXTRA serious!!!!

PS: Chile has the biggest reserves, Australia has the second most reserves but the largest current production of lithium... in case I didn't word that correctly...
-
Australia is the biggest supplier as of today I believe... We better be nice to them. Low population, lots of reserves... good for the US if that works out... Also, is that "proven" reserves? I'm taking that to mean that the geological surveys have been done (they use ground-penetrating radar for that...?) not necessarily mines dug to "prove" the lithium. Because what that also means from a US perspective is if we aren't looking for the stuff in the US (because of the environment/ politics/ etc...); we may have more lithium to be found but just nothing "proven" at this point. Or very little. Also... should we start capturing and mining asteroids? We have the technology. Just a thought... I think it's time to start...

Same with Skubal. And Eduardo. And Brieske. These guys are all short-term outs, unless I'm mistaken. All back before September? Hill too for that matter, although I think he is still breathing in our rotation...? -
There were no guarantees. There were never any guarantees. But on the flipside... If you have 12 guys who might turn into Jacque Jones, versus 1... might have a better chance of actually getting AT LEAST one Jacque Jones out of that, plus possibly one or two who might be even better, and the rest most likely will all flame out for one reason or another. Versus ONE, for whom an Org will live or die with. I prefer having this deep farm system, with a crapload of lottery tickets... rather than a system whose number TWO prospect is Christin frickin' Stewart and number FOUR prospect is Jacoby frickin's Jones. Than a system with Michael Fulmer as its number ONE prospect and Beau Burrows its number FOUR prospect. I'm done. I know exactly where I stand. And I know this system is worlds better than in 2016. And it's NOT EVEN CLOSE. I'm not going to be BS'ed by anyone anymore. If you can't see the difference, I can't help you.

I'm OK with having a few guys on the Tigers who are .240-.260 hitters, but are really good defensively and have a nice amount of pop (think 15-30 HR's or so) to go along with that. I think there are several guys we have, have lower hit tools than what the scouting reports said... but aren't going to Mendoza-Moya-Rey Rivera their way out of prospect status and may actually make it to MLB as that .240-.260 hitter with defense and Pop. Rogers has already shown that at Catcher... but we'll see how he comes back from Tommy John. I thought Dingler had a higher hit tool but he's falling into that range, as is Parker Meadows (who I had actually written off as another Moya after his first couple of years in the minors...). I have higher hopes for Wenceel's hit tool, as well as Keith, Carpenter, maybe Crouch too... I'm a little uncertain how that will play out for Pacheco and Kreidler at this point... They don't need to hit as high as Castellanos though... not if the D is just so much better....

He can bring a lot more heat than that. But if he's being pushed to NOT max out the MPH and it results in a lower speed FB but ALSO this much better control... that's probably a winning formula. And I am sure he can dial it back in when he needs to throw a 4-seamer at the top of the zone... -
I think things have already gotten to a big enough scale. The issue, and to Del's point, is how to "mesh" all of these new green power systems, backup storage, availability, etc... Into a cohesive, DEPENDABLE electrical grid system, and also to understand what the new green system's CAPACITY will be, in relation to future DEMANDS. I think those are the three key words/ issues that we are looking at.

Aaah.. that's NOT Happening. He's still in... I was wondering what CCG's "frick" comment was on and 1776's surmise on calling it a day for Manning. Misassociative worrying. -

So nothing happened to him (just confirming...) They just pulled him for a short (pitch count) outing? Yeah, I'm good with that.
