I think there are more moves coming, whether or not they're good moves is another thing but I doubt he is done.

I have no problem giving the Nets money to sign Johnson cause I don't think the Pistons nor most fans wanted to sign him for the amount it would've taken. I think the main gripe is if they could've gotten a better player/fit using our space than Harris, I genuinely don't know. At the very least he will provide shooting and is only on a 1 year deal.

Immaculate Grid 88 8/9: 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩⬜️ Score of 241. The last 2 of the bottom row hurt me, the one I got right had a high percentage and the one I missed I knew multiple answers to for sure but I guessed on a guy who I was fairly confident in that wasn't as recent hoping for a small percentage only for him not to have won it.

You would have to think that Bojan is on the move, if so I don't mind the move. Bojan is better offensively but Harris is equally as good of outside shooter so we don't lose anything there and he is off the books next year so no long term commitment. Plus he may be attractive to teams come trade deadline that are wanting to clear space for next year's class which is supposedly alot better.(seemingly hear that every year though so taking that with a grain of salt) BTW what is his defense like? The 10 or so times I watched him I don't remember him standing out either way, I would have to imagine it's better than Bojan's right?

Pistons acquire Joe Harris and 2 seconds from the Nets. As far as I can tell we're not sending anything back the Nets are just using a trade exemption on him. He's due like 19 million this year so I imagine this takes us out of the running of anybody major.

Didn't the Tigers control his rights anyway? I thought they chose not to tender him a contract which allowed him to become a FA.
-
Harden, Kyrie or Durant? Who's the most unlikable player in the league?

It's crazy to think of the 24 perfect games 5 came in a 3 stretch from 09-12 and that of course it should've been 6 with Galarraga's. Then after that stretch we gone 11 years since the next one.

Barnes resigns for 3/54, I would've went more than that but of course who knows how much more it would've taken for him to come here.
-
Oh I know that it can't have the same impact as gambling but theoretically it still could effect the game. Like if your a defender and you have a certain player on the opposition instead of tackling him on the 1 do you just let him score for the TD? I don't necessarily think any player would do that but still I think just the thought compromises the integrity of the game.

I think the Bojan trade was one that comes to mind though where I don't recall anybody saying things like that and I'm sure there were others but it "seems" like after every move they make you get some sorta write up about how it was known that he coveted that player.
-
They do say that particularly JEIII but then after the move happens they usually contradict that whole point. Like when we drafted Duren some of those same people that said they were tight lipped said things like "No surprise they picked him as it was common knowledge that Weaver was infactuated with him and considered taking him at 5."

Definitely, it would be nice though for him to avoid the depths he goes to when he is not dialed in. If he could just be merely below average during his down stretches instead of being absolutely dreadful like he seems to be during them his overall numbers will probably end up falling in line with what we hoped we'd get when we drafted him. For example he had that scorching stretch for a few weeks late last month and early this month but then after that he proceeded to go 3-37 with just 1XBH. Like if his bad stretches could be bad but not THAT bad things could turn out ok. -
Pelicans declined Herb Jones, sounds like they will still try to work out an extension with him but if they can't is he somebody we should go after? I may be undervaluing what it would take to get him but I really like him as a player and would love to get him instead of breaking the bank for Cam Johnson.

Garcia scolded it but thankfully right to Ibanez and the Tigers hang on. All things considered a solid split against the Rangers. -

I miss when Lange was good. And now he walks in a run and the tying run comes to the plate. -
Mo Bamba was just waived by the Lakers, Weaver's got to be salivating at the thought of picking up another former high draft pick big man.
-
Dodged a bullet, just saw on twitter that he picked up his option so he's stuck with the Bulls and Buddha.

Assuming he doesn't completely fall off a cliff or get injured the next 2 weeks Rogers may be our All Star rep this year. -

Damn nice swing there by Rogers, goes the opposite way for a leadoff double off the wall. -
To me if Maton wasnt a competent fielder by this age and point in his career reps in AAA aren't going to change that

Tiger killer Dane Dunning vs. Joey "meatball" Wentz, about as big of mismatch as you can get...... which means the Tigers will probably win this one. -
Yeah that is remarkable, I didn't know about him since he was before my time but in my lifetime Willis and as you metioned Ankiel are the two guys that always come to mind.
-
I don't think Houston is going to average over a sack a game like he did last year but I think he can certainly be a regular double digit guy in this league just due to the moves and explosiveness you saw from him. Also although he only went to JSU so didn't play the top competition he dominated there though so for essentially his whole football career he has dominated guys so between that, the stuff you see on tape and his physical attributes it's hard to find a real reason why he shouldn't be good other than just that he was a late round pick and they normally don't pan out.
