  1. Pistons get the rare win. Ivey with another strong game of 29 pts and 9 Assists(4 TOs), for the week he is averaging 27 and 8.
  2. Killian currently giving you the 1 good game a month he offers.
  3. Didn't think about that, so in their eyes "adding" a top 10 pick this year is worth more than being in a play in game? I think in general I'd agree with that but when you have a guy like Luka and even Kyrie you have a shot to make some noise in the playoffs especially given the competition. I mean if they got by the play in they get Memphis and nothing against them but I don't think it'd be that big of a stretch to see Dallas upset them.
  4. I'm skeptical it would happen unless he drops big time but one good thing about drafting Hooker is that atleast next year we wouldn't have to worry about hearing hosts/callers on the radio or forum/social media posts clamoring for Goff to be replaced if/when he has a bad game like I'm sure would happen if we were to draft one of the other QBs.
  5. Agreed. It's not going to happen cause teams just don't operate like this but if I were the Texans I would think long and hard about either trading back and collecting more assets or taking Will Anderson(or whomever they have at the top of their board) at 2 and just wait till next year to get your QB. Yeah I know that comes with a risk cause you may not be picking again in the top 5 next year but in all likelihood Houston isn't going to be good next year and even if they aren't dreadful and finish with say the 7-9th pick they have a ton of future draft capital including multiple firsts next year so they could always trade up if need be.
  6. Even though I knew it was kind of a long shot that's a bit of a kick in the balls, would've loved to have him here.
  7. 4* and top 150 OT Andrew Sprague verbally commits. Again assuming he stays another solid get for Harbaugh and Co. as they continue their strong 2024 class.
  8. Campbell and Sanders are my 1A and 1B linebackers. The problem though is if mocks and draft boards are to be believed it would be too much of a reach to take either at 18 but unlikely either will be available with our 2nd round pick.
  9. This is about where I'm at too except I'd add Vierling for the big league roster and Malloy in the minors. I can't think of any pitchers in the system outside of Flores or Madden I'm particularly excited about. Maybe we'll get a surprise like we got with Skubal a few years back.
  10. Yeah and what I especially liked about Cade's play was that they weren't just empty stats(not necessarily saying Ivey's are) but his play actually led to some wins. The team was still bad but Cade's play helped them be atleast a respectable and win at a relatively decent rate the last couple months, not to mention IIRC Cade also was among the league leaders for a certain time period in "clutch points" so he was getting it done when it mattered as well.
  11. Caleb Love guard from UNC announced he is transferring to UM. Shooting percentages weren't good but he did average 17 a game last year.
  12. Assuming 2 QBs per team it's hard to believe that he is one of the 64 best people on Earth at playing QB. I say the same thing about kickers that suck, it's like there HAS to be somebody better out there you would think.
  13. Saw this in klaw's chat and it got my attention. Don't know how true this is but if it is indeed true and we are an outlying org that doesn't do this then that isn't a good look. Pat: How many teams provide nutritionists for their minor leaguers? &/or provide healthy food in the clubhouse? Asking because Jace Jung mentioned yesterday that Detroit did neither of those last year..which seems like criminal negligence to me Keith Law: I actually thought every team did at least some of that by now.
  14. I do wonder how Okudah would've turned out if he not only didn't have that injury but got drafted a year later and his rookie year was with the current coaching staff.
  15. I mentioned it before but one positive for Carter in regards to helping to bust the lazy narrative is that he did come back from his ankle injury mid season and played all of the remaining games and not only played but played his best football. Considering he could've just sat it out and still would've been a top 10 pick that shows that he atleast has some drive.
  16. In 2011 when the Lions were 4-0 taking on the Bears that MNF game was the 2nd highest rated MNF game all season and nearly was number 1 but a Dallas game had like 100K more viewers. In 2015 the Lions/Seahawks game on MNF was again the 2nd highest game of the season with only Peyton Manning's farewell game in week 17 topping it. In 2016 the Lions/Cowboys MNF game was the most watched MNF in over 4 years. You can give credit to the opponents but those teams were on against other teams, the common denominator was the Lions.
  17. Yup, as I mentioned above the only exception to this seems to be the Cowboys. A couple months ago I did a deeper dive into TV ratings and what I found were that they were the one team you could count for high numbers regardless of who they played or the importance of the game. Outside of them it didn't matter, what mattered was how meaningful the game was.
  18. It's hard to trust these mock draft deals are but I saw one today that had TN moving up to 3 by giving up 11, a 2nd and a 4th. I know the Lions don't have a 4th this year but if we could get to 3 for something similar I would do that in a heartbeat for Anderson. You'd get arguably the best player in the draft and still have another 1st and 2nd to address positions of needs.
  19. Really the only team that consistently draws ratings is the Cowboys. If you look at TV ratings for every other team when they are prime time it isn't a big difference between any of them. The most important thing for ratings is competitive games and meaningful games.
  20. Englert induced 6 whiffs on 25 pitches with of course is really good but the other 3 pitchers combined for just 2 on 99 pitches which is just pathetic. Hard to stop teams from scoring when they make contact every time they swing.
  21. I will say one thing that kinda concerns me about Witherspoon is that he was like a zero star recruit and didn't really excel his first couple years in college. As I mentioned above he dominated this year but it does worry me a little that he doesn't have more of a pedigree like the vast majority of early picks usually have.
  22. Since I'm a Michigan fan I of course follow the B1G more closely and have seen Witherspoon a few times so I may be biased but to me he always stood out and made plays even when he wasn't being targeted. Also he was the definition of a lockdown guy this year, for the year he only gave up 22 catches for 206 yards and no TDs. That's under 2 catches and 20 yards a game. He had 17 combined pass breakups and interceptions so nearly as many breakups as catches he allowed which is insane.
  23. Iirc the 4:25 national games actually drew more viewers than MNF last year so in some ways that's more of a showcase game than Primetime.
  24. Yeah I think the Bears are marginally more popular at best over in Europe than the Lions. The Bears aren't the Packers,Cowboys, Steelers or Patriots who's brand goes worldwide(well as much as an NFL team can), they are in the next tier of teams who might be more well known among casual Americans but who almost certainly aren't that well known internationally just like the teams like the Lions. With that said I guess the Panthers have a huge European fan base so perhaps there is no rhyme or reason to what teams are popular there.
  25. Figured it was going to come down to the Bears or Lions. They went with the team with the bigger fan base/name vs. the one that will likely be better and in turn give the Chiefs a better game.
