The Cavs were already an elite team but getting Deandre Hunter just took them to even a higher level. 15-2 the rest of the way gets them to that rare 70 win total.
Looking at that class and along with A'Shawn you have Decker and Glasgow who are still starters in this league and Miles Killebrew who as a special teamer made the PB the last 2 years and was 1st team All Pro in 2023. Not bad at all considering we're 10 seasons removed from it.
Ameer Abdullah is still in the league as well. Think he is going on 10 years so given the short shelf life of running backs nowadays that is pretty impressive.
I remember the 3 or 4 game stretch his rookie season where Hand looked like he could be Aaron Donald light. Obviously didn't end up being that but I suppose a 9+ yr NFL career is pretty damn good.
Reminds me of 2 yrs ago where we lost Williams but then signed Montgomery for the net improvement and last year with Jackson and Zeitler. Will this make 3 in a row?
Barring injury to somebody he wouldn't play everyday but I think with Keith still taking reps at 2nd you could find enough ABs for Tork between 1st and DH.
Basically any one of Torres, Keith or Carp off day and Tork could get in the lineup.
Chase Young is the new Jadeveon Clowney in the sense that they seemingly are looked at and paid entirely off of how prolific they were coming out of college.
For me it's all about the power numbers with Javy, by this point in his career he is who he is in terms of average and obp but perhaps this surgery can help bring back the power numbers he had pre Tigers. If he can put up 25 HRs with a portion of those coming in high leverage spots he could be of value to us.
The Pistons are now 10th in ESPN Power Rankings. I don't really care that much about them but this has to be the first time they've been in the top 10 since the 00s.
Genuine question cause I very well may have missed something but is there any real evidence of this or even rumors about it other than just the fact that he is still elite at his age?
The Tigers appear to finally develop 3 legit young position players in Meadows, Carp and Greene and of course all 3 have had trouble staying on the field in their young careers.
I guess you'd have to define unrealistic, A guy who's had 1 good year in his career suddenly hitting 50 hrs which only a tiny fraction of baseball players ever do is unrealistic to me.
I think worth mentioning that Tobias has been playing alot better the past month or so, averaging nearly 18 on 56% shooting during this 10-2 Pistons stretch.
