I guess Weaver has been enamored with Wiseman for awhile, saw some reports saying that he tried to move up to get him in the 2020 draft. I'm guessing he gets consistent playing time the rest of the year and if he proves himself or shows a glimmer of his upside we'll make some corresponding moves in the offseason to free up more time for him in the coming years. All in all I don't hate the trade, it sounds like Bey wasn't gonna be in our long term plans and we likely weren't going to get a young player with any more upside than Wiseman for him. No matter who we got there were going to be some flaws with him. So to me this is just a meh trade, nothing I love but nothing I'm going to lose sleep over either.

I thought it was but maybe that was just me. I thought the consensus at the time was that he'd be back sometime by the break. In the article it says "what would you to say to somebody that said you were going to miss the entire year?" to which Skubal replied "Id call that person a liar."

Said everything is going well but won't give a timetable on a return. It does sound like he plans to be return sometime this year but thats something that I think people were expecting anyway.

Weaver is already thinking of potential trade packages for number 2 pick Holmgrem if he disappoints in OKC.

Definetly not required but I think Johnson is a tier or two above everybody else for his class of receivers. Kinda like how we could've waited and got a guy like Sky Moore last year but instead went out and got the guy in his own tier in Jamo. Could see something similar with Johnson if Holmes wants to go that route.

If we were to sign a Dean and let Chark go that could open up the possibility of Quintin Johnson at 18.(or maybe a little trade up if need be) I brought him up a few times and I know we have more pressing needs but I just think he would be the perfect receiver to compliment Jamo and ARSB.

Not to mention just this past year Sauce and Woolen came into the league and dominated and they played at Cincinnati and *checks notes* University of Texas San Antonio.

I thought Wiseman was supposed to have some projectable offensive skills or have people kinda given up on that thought?

Walking away with Carter and Porter along with Bradberry in FA would be the dream scenario for me.

Id love to take a chance on Wiseman. Feels like he has been around for awhile then I check and see he is only 21. Him, Duren and if we're lucky Wemby would be awesome! I guess you could say that about Wemby and anybody though.

Lebron indeed breaks the record with a little step back from the elbow, a shot he has made 1000s of times. If it wasn't going to be a dunk probably the most fitting shot for him to break it with.

Just turned on the Lakers game a few minutes ago and Lebron is looking like 2007 Lebron, scored 10 pts in the few minutes I've had the game on and is at 30 for the game with 4 left in the 3rd. Only 6 shy of the record and barring something crazy he's going to get it tonight.

With the sun out and 50 degree weather I found myself for the first time really this offseason looking forward to the Tigers starting up. It sucks having yet another season of zero expectations but I'm still looking forward to seeing how guys like Greene, Manning and Tork fair and rooting for positive success from them. Would love to see one of them really break out like a Julio Rodriguez last year and grab national attention.

Id be fine with a guard at 18 if that's who is at the top of their board. Yes OL is a strength and we have more pressing needs but you can improve just as easily by making a strength even better as you can by making a weakness better. Unless your strength is to the point where there is no improving it but the O line namely guard isn't to that point.

I always think of This video game I played on sega as a kid called "Sports Talk Baseball" when I think of Hojo. It came out in 1992 and he was on the Mets coming off a 38HR season(still remember the number just cause of the game) and was just a total beast on the game. It was before the old chuck Norris facts jokes but my friends and I would kinda make those type of jokes about Hojo when playing the game. We treated him as this mythical being cause on the game he kinda was. Basically a total cheat code.

I loved the fact the Nets owner basically said to trade him anywhere but the Lakers since that's where he wanted to go most. I love that level of spitefulness against these players that want to pick and choose where they go after demanding to be traded.

ESPN put out its best qb bargains off their compensation vs. Value on field and Goff was number 3 among the non rookie deals trailing only Mahomes and Allen.

I'm talking myself into Bijan, I hate the thought of taking a rb early but I also am a believer in taking guys that have a clear separation over their peers and he seems to fit that bill at rb. Im skeptical they do it but its something I'm warming up to.

I think they may very well go corner with 2 of their first 3 picks.

So Kyrie is going to the Mavs for Dinwiddie, Finney-Smith an unprotected 2029 1st and 2 2nds. If things work out that Luka, Kyrie combo could be unstoppable.

02/03/2023 7:00 EST Charlotte Hornets vs Detroit Pistons
RandyMarsh replied to casimir's topic in Detroit Pistons
Sucks that they won but atleast it was a win where Ivey played great, maybe his best game as a pro. -
I believe Warford started right away as well but that was like 10 years ago.

Yes, I don't think Al's strategy was bad per se but the execution and results certainly were. I also don't think he planned for the rebuild to take as long as it has, like when we initially started it in 2017 I think he thought we'd be competing by atleast 21 and possibly earlier but unfortunately none of the players he acquired in the trades amounted to much and none of his draft picks from the previous years and insuing ones did either.

So we'd save more money cutting after June 1st? Isn't it kinda a catch 22 though in a sense we may save more but atleast theoretically there would be less to spend the savings on since the top free agents would presumably been signed already?

Kiley McDaniel of ESPN just came out with his system rankings and he has us at.21(13 last year) The abridged breakdown from him was that we have a lot of potential solid contributors in the system but few if any higher end guys.
