  1. Yeah since the Bears were out of TOs he put a bunch of players on the sideline so they couldnt get a quick pass to the sidelines and step out of bounds and put them in FG range. Basically forced them to have to score on that play.
  2. Still wondering when this game will be played. I think the fair thing would be for our game to either go on first or at the very least be on at the same time as the Seahawks game. Reason I say that is that if our game is on after if the Seahawks win than we'd be eliminated so theoretically the game would be easier for the Packers since we'd have nothing to play for. Of course I think that we would go balls to the wall regardless because that just how this team is but you never know how the players may respond after seeing their hopes get crushed. They may be just a little dejected which could be enough to give the Packers the advantage which wouldn't really be fair to the Seahawks.
  3. OT but I just have to say it brings me great joy seeing all the crap Patricia has been getting all year. Sacastic posts like this are posted every week. Just too bad he is ruining my boy Mac Jones.
  4. I of course would gladly sacrifice draft position if it meant the Lions making the playoffs but looking at the Rams pick it could be a pretty big drop if they do beat Seattle vs. if they lose. They could pick as high as 4 with a loss but as low as number 9 with a win. Considering the Colts are facing the Texans and the Cards are facing a 49ers team that are only playing for seeding(hell they may prefer to face the 6 seeded Giants vs. 7 seeded Lions/Packers/Seahawks) there's a relatively decent chance one or both those teams win which would move a Rams loss to the 4th or 5th spot. A Rams win will move them into a 4 way tie with all the 6 win teams where they will pick last out of the bunch due to their strength of schedule. So if the Rams do indeed help us out by beating Seattle I sure as hell hope we take advantage of it cause it would be a pretty costly draft wise.
  5. I wouldn't mind Quentin Johnson the WR from TCU. Yeah we have greater needs than WR but I feel in this league you can never have enough weapons and I think Johnson's skill set compliments are other young guys like Jaymo and ARSB. Johnson is the big outside threat in the AJ Brown/Julio Jones type of mold, while you have your speedster in Jamo and shifty/YAC/possession slot guy in ARSB. He could help make the offense damn near unstoppable.
  6. Losing by 38 here, lost 40-3 to the Cowboys and hell even though they came back to win they were down 30+ to the Colts at one point. All of this in the past 6 weeks, so safe to say the Vikings aren't exactly rolling into the playoffs. Who ever catches them in the 1st round could be in for a relatively easy win. Watch it be the Bucs and Brady.
  7. They may have been, I was just going off the fact that even if they lost they could still finish 8-9 which would tie them with us and the Seahawks(if they lose next week). I wasn't sure about how the tiebreakers worked though which is why I wasn't completely sure.
  8. Actually come to think of it even if the Packers lost today they still wouldn't have been completely eliminated from the playoffs right(Unless the Seahawks won today and next week before our game in which case the Lions would be eliminated too anyway)? If so I guess it really didn't matter for the Lions sake what the Packers did today.
  9. Yeah it would've made things a little easier next week with a Packers team already eliminated atleast theoretically but either way we still would have to beat them so it doesn't change things too drastically for us.
  10. Looks like the Seahawks are up 14 with the ball in Jets territory late in 3rd. Considering the Jets don't exactly have an explosive offense I think that game is just about done so its looking like we are indeed pinning our hopes on the Rams next week.
  11. lol, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he forgot/didn't realize that the Lions played the Packers in week 18 so there was no way both teams could lose but still kinda funny to see a coach realize that in a presser that his team may be eliminated.
  12. I know the odds of this are astronomical but just out of curiosity what if both games next week end up in a tie so us, GB and Seattle all finish 8-8-1, who gets in? Also wouldn't effect the Lions but if GB wins to get 9-8 and Seattle wins who has the tiebreaker there?
  13. For some reason I've always had a major hatred for the Jets, like I enjoy watching them lose more than probably any non NFC North team in football so even though I'm rooting for them to win today for the Lions sake if they lose and seeing their hopes get dashed is a nice consolation prize for me.
  14. Yeah I'd say its definitely beneficial for the team to play earlier in the day, not only for the weather but the fans may not be as crazy as they would be at night but as a viewer I would love to watch the atmosphere of a prime time game like that.
  15. Yep, that's why I don't particularly care for the comparisons between two teams based off common opponents, hell I guess even head to head for that matter. I don't put too much stock in that in terms of a predictive measure because for the most part the vast majority of the teams in the NFL are pretty evenly matched so if you catch a team on a good or bad day it can make a major difference in the outcome. That and of course getting some lucky breaks or calls from the officials.
  16. If the Seahawks lose today and the Packers win does our game next week get flexed to SNF? It would be a win and your in for both teams right?
  17. Anytime I see them I think of when I was in 8th grade. We played either SF or Dallas on MNF and destroyed them while sporting those, the next day in school some of us kids were half jokingly saying some of the same things like "Maybe they need to wear those every game" only for our buzzkill of a teacher to tell us the jerseys had nothing to do with them winning.
  18. Cleveland up 14 with the ball with 2:04 left.
  19. Don't think I ever seen a sack with not 1 but 2 holding penalties called on the offensive line.
  20. Just saw that Hutch's 3 INTs is tied for the most by any DLineman in the Super Bowl era, not any rookie D-Lineman, D-Lineman period.
  21. Not sure if that is going to be overturned cause I'm not even sure what constitutes a pass attempt. On that look they showed right before the break it appeared that Fields arm wasn't going forward but he tried to flick it forward with his hand/fingers, does that count as a pass attempt?
  22. Goff with 3 TD passes and only 4 incompletions. Pretty damn good TD to incompletion ratio.
  23. Don't say this lightly but that Swift run was Barryesque, looked like he was bottled up only for him to squirt out and quickly get back up to speed.
