I'd have to see a replay but at first glance that looked like a terrible spot, watching live it looked like Reynolds may have reached out to be atleast close to the 1st down, when they snapped it on the FG it appeared they marked it almost 2 full yards shy of the 1st.

Admittedly I haven't paid much attention to other team's systems and rosters the past year or so but I would have to imagine there aren't very many teams in worse shape top to bottom than us right now. That could change if we get some breakout guys and guys like Tork, Greene, Manning and Skubal(when he comes back) perform to expectations but as of now things look pretty bleak.

I agree they have no real strengths but I don't think they put too much resources in SP necessarily, probably no more than other teams though even though that is the general feelings. Yeah you can question the Jobe pick but outside of that I think you can justify using a 1st on Manning, Faedo and Mize. Faedo was considered a steal at the time we drafted him and somebody that would be hard to pass up on and Mize was the consensus number 1. Aside from that they've used plenty of early picks on bats but unfortunately they were either dumb picks to begin with(Rivera) or just haven't panned out atleast as of yet.

Maybe a better comp would be the Rays trading Elmn to the Twins for Matt Garza. Young underperformed for 2 years for the Rays and that was enough for them to cut bait on him.

Dbacks trading Swanson to Atlanta for Shelby Miller? Not perfect comp since unlike Tork Swanson had no MLB experience at the time of the trade but that's the closest I can think of off the top of my head.

I have a hard time judging a GM based off of a lack of moves because we don't know what he is or isn't trying to do behind the scenes. Perhaps he was trying to make moves but he couldn't find a deal that he thought was beneficial to the team in the short or long term, we just don't know. It's not wise to make moves just to make them. Also in regards to free agency who knows what he was told he had to work with financially or what players were even interested in coming here at this moment. Also not wise to overpay for marginal players or improvements which may be what some of the players we might have been interested in were seeking.

Checked the weather for the game tomorrow and despite it being in Charlotte it is playing like NFC North weather with kick off having a real feel temp of 15 degrees and the whole game having actual temps of below freezing. The narrative has always been that Goff struggles in cold weather so hopefully that won't happen tomorrow

Judging by Logue's numbers he appears to be a scout signing cause theres nothing in the stats that give me any hope. Somebody must have seen something in him that they think they can work with, atleast that's what I hope.

Yep, yet that wont stop people from saying SOL if/when they lose one. To me SOL would be losing in some weird heartbreaking fashion and even then I wont mean it in a literal sense more just in jest.

I still don't know if Campbell has actually cost of any games this year with his in game coaching. Has he made costly blunders, particularly towards the end of games that get magnified? Sure, but he very well have made moves throughout the game that other people wouldn't have that put us in position to win in the 1st place. The first Minny game comes to mind, 3 of the Lions TDs were due to him going for it on 4th down where most others would've punted, if it weren't for his aggressiveness we wouldn't have even been in the game but stuff like that gets forgotten about.

From the article I read about Moore after he transferred to UCLA it says that Moore claims that NIL was never a factor in his decision and wouldn't even listen to teams NIL offers cause he didn't want that to influence his decision. He said he chose UCLA because he liked what Chip Kelly did with Mariotta who he sees alot of similarities with to himself and also cause they are going to the Big 10. I said this to my friend when watching the game, I told him that eventually they will threaten the fans by giving the Bills a penalty. He asked how could they do that and I brought up that Barry 2k game where Lions fans were so loud the Jets couldn't call plays so the refs came on the mic and threatened us with I believe 5 yard delay of game penalties or something like that.

I don't necessarily think so either, I'm positive the players themselves don't once they are out on the field but I think it's possible that teams may make personnel decisions that may make the team worse with the thought of getting a better draft selection. Either way just pointing out that if you are one of those people that believes that you don't have to worry about it this game.

Our Rams pick back to number 4 after the their loss tonight. The Broncos currently are sitting at 3 and play the Rams next week so needless to say that's a big one draft pick wise. Considering the Broncos are also giving up their 1st round pick there isn't a ton of incentive for them to tank the game for pick position so don't got to worried about that.

Hey now I thought he was washed up too when we traded him. He was a then 30 year old CB coming off his 2 worst non rookie seasons of his career and appeared to be trending downwards. DBs tend to die after 30, whether it was Talib, Revis, Asomugha etc. very few played at a high level after 30 no matter how good they were in their 20s. Couple that with the said down seasons and yeah it's easy to see why people thought he was done.
