  1. Sucks that they won but atleast it was a win where Ivey played great, maybe his best game as a pro.
  2. I believe Warford started right away as well but that was like 10 years ago.
  3. Yes, I don't think Al's strategy was bad per se but the execution and results certainly were. I also don't think he planned for the rebuild to take as long as it has, like when we initially started it in 2017 I think he thought we'd be competing by atleast 21 and possibly earlier but unfortunately none of the players he acquired in the trades amounted to much and none of his draft picks from the previous years and insuing ones did either.
  4. So we'd save more money cutting after June 1st? Isn't it kinda a catch 22 though in a sense we may save more but atleast theoretically there would be less to spend the savings on since the top free agents would presumably been signed already?
  5. Kiley McDaniel of ESPN just came out with his system rankings and he has us at.21(13 last year) The abridged breakdown from him was that we have a lot of potential solid contributors in the system but few if any higher end guys.
  6. There's also Geno Smith out there but not sure how much stock people are putting into his season. They may think he just benefited from Carroll and Seattle's system.
  7. Not that I would do it but just for shits and giggles what do you think the Jets would give up for Goff right now?
  8. If you did it to Mahomes it be a lifetime ban, any other qb a season long ban ...except a Lions qb, then you'd just get slapped with a 3K fine while the qb gets a 5k fine for standing in front of you and impeding your movement.
  9. Just saw that Tyler Hunter made the Pro Bowl for the AFC after a *Checks notes* 2 TD season! lol So many players were injured, decline to play or in the Super Bowl he made it purely out of desperation. Classic!
  10. The Broncos have a solid roster but unless you feel you can coach Wilson back up they will always have a limited ceiling particularly playing in the brutal AFC West. Plus on top of that they gave up so much capital to get Wilson you are immediately put behind the 8 ball there in terms of trying to upgrade your roster.
  11. The Lions also admitted they weren't ready or expecting the Carolina field to play the way it did which tells me they probably didnt have the the right footwear for the field which may have contributed to their play.
  12. Its obviously impossible to say but I think there is a high chance they win the SB last year if they traded for Stafford instead of LAR
  13. RIP to the Patriarch of the Avila family Ralph Avila who passed away today.
  14. Yep just another reason why Im not onboard with drafting a qb early. I won't throw a tantrum if they do but I want a guy that could contribute right away cause I think we're close especially given the shape of the conference. Things can change quickly in the NFL so when you have a chance you need to do what you can to best take advantage of it.
  15. Rodgers is a sure fire HOFer and at his best may be one of 3 to 5 most gifted qbs I have ever seen but with that said he should get more flack for his postseason failures. "Only" going to one SB when you consistently had HFA and/or a 1st round bye is unacceptable. Especially since you are gifted one of the best Home field advantages in football. He went to the playoffs 12 times and only twice did he win multiple games in them. That should not happen if you pride yourself on being the best qb.
  16. Speaking of Cooter I saw on Twitter the other day that TB may be hiring him as their OC, some Bucs fans I follow were pissed about it so maybe they need to see those Stafford stats under him.
  17. I think another reason people are bringing up qb this draft despite having Goff is the fact that we have that extra 1st rounder. I feel some folks treat that as almost found money so why not use it on a lottery ticket qb? Not saying I agree with that logic but I think there's merit to it, like if we only had 1st this year I think people would basically just be talking players that fill immediate needs but since we have that extra one we can take an immediate need with 1 of them and the other use as sorta a luxury pick.
  18. Stafford was only 52 and 55% his first two years at UGA when playing at the same age/experience as Richardson. He also had a ton of talent around him as well.
  19. I'll raise your Robinson with Quentin Johnson. Physically he's another AJ Brown who runs a sub 4.4, him, ARSB and Jamo would terrorize defenses for years.
  20. Trade down is my option a. Normally Im not all for that if it means passing on a clear cut better prospect, in that case Id rather have that player than the extra capital but in this years case outside of Anderson and Carter(who some folks don't think is a character fit) there just isn't much separation in the players. The guy you can get at 20 will probably grade out within a point or 2 of the guy available at 6 so if you can get the same type player later and pick up some extra picks you'd be stupid not to do it.
  21. I think Stroud is the safest bet at qb but I just don't see him having this super high ceiling, to me he is the type of guy who would top out at what Goff gave you this year whereas guys like Levis, Young and Richardson may have higher bust potential(especially Levis and Richardson) but they all do have some uber traits that can make them franchise changing superstars if things do go right.
  22. It has pretty pricey annual maintenance costs, much higher than the new models under owner friendly warranties. You can allot the savings of those maintenance costs to other toys to put in your garage.
  23. The Lions announced they are getting new artificial turf for Ford Field and all their practice facilities. They are going with "FieldTurf Core System" all around,it's supposedly the best and safest artificial turf around in terms of injury prevention. We shall see.
