Since democrats supported the rioters in Portland and other places I suppose they get a free pass because they are on "your" side? They caused more destruction and death than anyone in DC did.

If they are going to continue with interleague play they shouldn't be doing it at the end of the season. The Red Sox are the latest victims of having to play important games in a NL park with the pitcher having to hit. When a series is determining a playoff spot I don't think its right to do since AL teams are at a big disadvantage with pitchers batting. The Tigers were in the same position in Atlanta a few years ago.

The TV guys are thinking Haase will be starting catcher next year. I like Haase and think he makes a good back up that can get more playing time occasionally in the OF and DH. I would be open to see who else is available for a starting catcher.

The democrats tried to say that Trump told people to attack the Capitol in his speech earlier that day when what he really said was protest peacefully and patriotically. After giving one away last night, they can get a nice win today to close out the season. Even if they lose its been a good season. Did anyone expect 76 or 77 wins? I think most people predicted under 70. Even the number of wins are overshadowed by quality series wins and sweeps they had this year. I haven't gone back to look but a lot of their wins were against good teams and the loses were against some crappy teams.

I'm not condoning what happened, and it shouldn't of happened, but it was hardly a coup. What Milley did in calling China is a much greater threat to this country. Most of the people at the Capitol were not causing violence but being loud and protesting. I feel many of them were inside because the door was open. Most of the people would not have broken windows or doors to enter. Democrats stood up for the rioters in Portland and would stand up for the people at the Capitol if were their group of people protesting.

Yeah a guy dressed up in a fur suit wearing horns is mentally sound enough to take over a country. He sounds more like what Biden does in private. The democrats and their media jumped all over this and blew it out of proportion for their benefit. Other than some overzealous officer firing into a crowd of people there's nothing to see there folks. And don't blame it on Trump. He never asked anyone to do that. His exact works were peacefully and patriotically. The democrats love to use this benefit. The only good thing I can say about the democrats is they have a very good PR system that slants everything in their favor. I suppose that's easy to do when the mainstream media is part of the democrat PR system.

I think Miggy will play two more years and if he stays healthy end his career with around 3250 hits and 520 home runs.

What I meant by getting creative with Miggy's contract is converting it to a front office position like Seattle did when Ichiro Suzuki retired.

OPS could be better but he's still able to contribute unless he totally falls off a cliff. I that case Al and Chris will need to get creative with his contract because not too many people would throw $30 million away. I also don't think he should stay in the top of order though. Not enough power or speed left to stay there.

TIgers need to win one more to make sure they finish with third in division. If they lose last two and KC wins last they will be tied.

Miggy's contract doesn't expire until the end of 2023. He will be with the Tigers for a couple more years. I don't think he's going to give up over $30 million a year to retire until then. If he can produce about the same as he is this year they will be fine and he can still play 1B with Tork. I can see them splitting time at 1B and DH but Miggy will be less of an everyday player like he is now.
