Like Glory said, there’s a cost to bringing either Clark or McG. There are often a few marginal players to peel off, but this year I think they will be giving up a player with some value already, why multiply the loss?
I had thought Anderson was highly likely to be traded at the deadline. Maybe there wasn’t a match, or he’s not that well regarded. Let’s see how he does at AAA.
You both have it right. I think every generation laments a loss of standards, but this seems different to me. It’s not so much as the standards have been lowered, as they have been flipped to actively promote the behaviors the standards had been established to protect against.
Since the game is putting me in a bad mood, I’ll gripe about the incredibly stupid MLB ad with the stats on batters that tapped the plate in last years playoff. Whoever green lit that idiotic waste of effort should be fired.
