The Cincinnati Reds have not scored a run in the last 33 innings.

I understand the desire (and reason) to keep politics out of this thread. Is that really possible to do anymore and still maintain an honest discussion about investing?

Jobs somehow came in hot today despite nothing indicating it would. I didn’t believe these numbers in the past administration and I definitely don’t under the current one. If every facet of our government up to and including the Supreme Court has a political partisan, why should we believe the Bureau of Labor Statistics would be any different?

This is probably the best scenario for all parties. The alternative was having he and Cossa split time in GR next year. That wouldn’t be ideal for either of them The other option was to have Augustine play next year in Toledo but the ECHL is a lower level competition than major College Hockey. They also have Guimond and Gylander in the system as well. Staggering lets them have Cossa in the NHL and Trey in GR in 26-27. That should give a pretty look for both as the figure out who is the future and who gets traded.

Watching the NCAA games left me a little disgusted last weekend. There was a constant trend of players driving the lane and refusing to attack the big at the basket. I repeatedly watched game after game of a guy blowing by his defender and then turning around and heading completely away from the hoop as he got close to the basket. It’s like they afraid of getting postered or something. The big is going to block some but he’s also going to get called for a foul as many times or more. 5 fouls in the college makes it really easy to put a big in foul trouble but that can’t happen if players are too afraid to go up strong and let the ref help them. Not sure if it’s softness or not wanting to end up as instagram short forever but these kids need to stop this trend. I really hope it doesn’t bleed over into the NBA.

This is so unnecessary. I can’t imagine another owner in the league putting out a statement after a normal NBA fight. Yet, this is so on point for Tom Gores. 6 paragraphs of meaningless word salad trying to remind people that he’s still here.

He left out protecting us from a violent Central American drug gang that makes up less than .001% of our population.

The tariff rates don’t matter. They aren’t real. It’s all another grift. The markets will crash tomorrow and maybe Tuesday giving the billionaire class that sold weeks ago time to buy in again at a lower price. Trump will once again pause the tariffs in a few days under the guise of other countries giving in to his greatness. The markets will quickly rebound giving the elites a massive windfall. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Do you think one of the pallbearers will say it?

It’s going to be tough figuring out what’s an April Fools joke and what’s something Trump said today.

Typical Brad move would be to trade up for a player and position that nobody was expecting and have them turn out to be a pro bowler.

This is an easy hedge now by betting money on the other side to ensure that something good comes from the 5 bucks.

I see so much content on LinkedIn that is so obviously ChatGPT generated. Way too many paragraphs each starting with a emoji is a dead giveaway. My thought goes from insightful to disingenuous very quick when I see it. AI is great for content ideas and a base for starting something but folks need to stop cut and paste posting straight from ChatGPT. Take a second and tweak it and make it sound more like their voice (also use the make it shorter command a few times too).

Wow. We got one

Congrats to the Western Michigan Broncos. They beat UMass to qualify for their first ever Frozen Four. Their Head Coach is former Red Wings Assistant Pat Ferschweiler.

It was way too soon but it was the right move. Yuki should have had the ride in the first place. I think he’s going do very well in the car. He’s grown a ton as a racer the past few seasons and I’m excited to see him in a car that should be competitive. I’m not sure he’s fighting for podiums but I’m expecting him consistently in that 6-9 area. Don’t think money played much of a role. He would’ve been in the ride ahead of Liam to begin with if that was the case. Sheer panic move afraid of falling too far behind in the constructors.

Ausar has a chance to become a fringe superstar. Think Donavan Mitchell or Jaylen Brown. He’s got a long way to go but the tools are there and still need to develop.

Did he stumble getting around third? I missed that and thought he was a ****ty baserunner who was out by a mile despite a really poor relay throw from the RF.
