  1. LA Riots. That’s funny. There have been riots in LA multiple times before and these weren’t anywhere near to those. It’s typical dysphemistic rhetoric from the right meant to incite their commune of morons.
  2. This is not humerus. Sorry, that was terrible.
  3. How can anyone that doesn’t look lily white go to this event. ICE has proven time and time again they can detain people for days or even weeks even if they have legal status or are even if they are a citizen. This tournament is being played all across the country for the next month featuring some of the biggest clubs in the world. What a complete disaster for FIFA and all of their fans. They need to really consider moving the World Cup next year while they still have time.
  4. My thoughts center around the possibility that this dramatic shift in college football will change it to the point that it no longer becomes a good thing for the NFL. As college football becomes more like a professional entity, what happens if the NFL sees it more as a competitor than a partner. They tend to crush any competition. The idea of owning viewers on Saturdays too could be huge. We’ve seen what Amazon will pay for Thursday’s and holidays. What do you think they would do for 2 marquee Saturday games at 3:30 and 8:00? We will see how it plays out over the next few years but I also can’t see NFL liking every 5 star QB is making as much as the 6th pick in the NFL draft. Even more extreme, how about when a 4 star DL from Saginaw gets paid the same amount as pick 26. They really aren’t going to like when the senior QB with a first round grade decides to stay in college for more money instead of coming to the NFL. The players union will hate it too and will definitely want to start getting more of the pie and could even strike for it. What better argument they aren’t paid enough than high school grads getting paid more than pros. We can compare to other pro sports but the reality is the NFL operates on another level. It’s like little league vs. high school when comparing them with other sports. Everything they touch gains viewers and makes money. They have very few missteps. I am not saying any of these things will happen but there is a dramatic change happening with college football. It’s not out of the question that the NFL chooses to step in and take control over their own player development and open a new revenue stream that makes billions of dollars at the same time.
  5. What’s better than getting something for free? Owning something that will make billions. You make it sound like college football has it all figured out. They are going to **** this thing up worse than ever. It’s not going to happen right away but there will be a time when the NFL will have an option.
  6. The NBA G league or UFL are not close comparisons. They aren’t taking all the top talent. There really isn’t any comparison as it hasn’t been done before. I’m taking about the NFL starting a league that would essentially replace college football. All the best players would go to it and college football would be what ended up looking like G league or UFL. I also think that alums underestimate how many non alums are huge fans and season ticket holders especially at the big state schools. They would quickly switch their allegiance.
  7. Thats the case at the moment. They will if they can profit much more than the expense and have total control over their player development. It would take less than 5 years for college football to essentially die if the NFL were to start a developmental Saturday league for the top 18-22 year olds that had no affiliation with college. High end High school football would quickly pass it in interest too.
  8. Ah. Got the schedule wrong. It’s not like that would’ve ever happened anyway.
  9. I know I’m a broken record on this but big time college football only exists because the NFL lets it. It’s currently advantageous for them as it has been for the past forever years but the moment it becomes a problem is the when the NFL will create its own developmental league for players out of high school. NCAA football will be doomed if that ever were to happen.
  10. Monaco getting moved back after Indy means will never have to hear that lie about the greatest race day of the year. On the topic of Indy, F1 will spend the month of May in America. Do you think Zak would be crazy enough to try and run either Lando or Oscar in Indy? Will any other driver want to take a shot at it? It’s so different that I can’t imagine but it would make incredible marketing and we know how much F1 loves that.
  11. Is this a play to actually try to get California to secede? It would be devastating for the American economy but the greatest thing to happen for the future control of the government by maga. We already know which of these they care more about.
  12. As expected, this happened almost immediately after the judge approved the settlement.
  13. Can’t see him going to a team that is still in rebuild mode.
  14. Florida feeling good getting a split on the road but the Oilers should feel very good at handling the Panthers suffocating forecheck.
  15. He’s still the richest man in the world. There is nothing he can’t use that leverage to get himself out of.
  16. I ****ing hate Corey Perry but at this point I must tip the cap that he’s still out there and is productive.
  17. Brebbia Coming In are 3 words I hate hearing
  18. I don’t blame you because the change in college baseball has happened so quickly. Campbell is actually a legit small school powerhouse. They made 5 straight NCAA tournaments prior to this year. Dallas Baptist, Wright State, and Sam Houston have all built strong programs in the last 5 years
  19. Not sure of the very best. One that sticks out is April 1991 Grateful Dead and Santana in Vegas at the old Silver Bowl Stadium. It was on the edge of what was the built out in the city at the time. Amazing desert mountains in the background. Worst: Anything at the Silverdome. Horrible, horrible place for live music. Lyrics were barely audible. Not even Pink Floyd or the Stones could make a great show out of it.
  20. This 1 million percent
  21. It sounds from his statement that he made this decision many weeks ago and the team was informed the entire time. Waiting to until June 2 to make it official was definitely intentional to help the team.
  22. Shocking but not really as it had been speculated for the last few offseasons. Welcome to the NFL, Tate Ratledge.
  23. Oh boy, Red Sox have a prospect name Richard Fitts. 🤦‍♂️
  24. The Brewers top prospect is Jesus Made. No, this isn’t for the religion thread, that’s his name.
  25. Is James Wood the next MLB superstar? 22 years old with a big frame and a great swing. This kid has a future as bright as anyone in the game and I’m not sure many fans even know what he’s doing right now. We also need to start talking about adding the Juan Soto Padres trade to the worst in history list. Padres got a little over a season of Juan Soto and 2 months of Josh Bell. Nats got: James Wood - currently top 10 in HR/RBI/OPS CJ Abrams - Starting SS and all star last year Mackenzie Gore - Solid LHP starter currently leading MLB in K’s Robert Hassell - mid prospect CF but he’s up in the bigs currently. Jarlin Susana is big armed pitching prospect they see as possibly a future elite MLB closer. Making the trade even better, Josh Bell signed back with the Nats and is at least ar the moment their starting 1B.
