  1. Oh hell yeah I’ll be there. Should be epic.
  2. Tedeschi Odenkirk Band - Live at Wrigley
  3. Ill leave the predictions to you guys but I loved the last episode. It sets the stage for the big decision from Gene. Does he continue his boring life as essentially a ghost, which he truthfully talked about while trying to get the security guy from turning around. Does he revert back to the Saul lifestyle and risk his safety for the fulfillment that he really wants in life. He really loved getting back in the game but knows that it could get him killed. At the end, he walked away from the Saul Goodman clothes as a sign that he knew that he had to go back to life as Gene but he was definitely torn. It don’t think it would take much to get him to flip and morph from Gene Tackovic into something else even if it kills him.
  4. A few notes from day 1
  5. Seb is one of a kind. He will be missed but I’m glad that he doesn’t have to continue with the Stroll shit show.
  6. I wonder if it plays a role in the Cards mind that Skubal pitched against them 3 times in his career and they’ve shelled him.
  7. Skubal is better than Boyd. He’s got better stuff and the peripherals are also better. They both tend to get rattled too easily and then the control comes and goes too much. Caught leaving fastballs over heart of the plate and not being able to locate the off speed for a strike when needed. It was frustrating to watch Boyd when you knew he was capable of so much more when he was locked in. It didn’t happen enough with him. I’m starting to see a little of the same with Skubal albeit with a higher ceiling when he’s on.
  8. Very very possible.
  9. Red Bull was doing incredible on their own. This huge influx of cash, added engineering support, and being able to leverage the Porsche brand for marketing and sponsorship opportunities will be huge.
  10. I’m not sure where the idea came from that a team would pick up Skubal only to help their future. Teams would pick him up certainly thinking that he could help them now. The fact that he wouldn’t be a short term rental and is under team control at a nice price is something you don’t often see in deadline deals and would increase his value to someone. The Tigers aren’t going to trade him for a down the numbers prospect. It’s not a fire sale. Tarik is only leaving If they get something really good.
  11. The fact that Skubal has 4 more years under team control and isn’t a half season rental is significant. This is the big reason there will be demand for him despite his inconsistency.
  12. A little snippet in todays Jeff Passan deadline article behind the ESPN paywall says: “Multiple GM’s Wednesday said they expect Skubal to move.”
  13. I don’t think rivalries will matter for ND’s conference decision. They will stay Independent if they get stupid money from NBC. If not, it’s most likely B10 unless the ACC somehow pulls a rabbit out of their ass and slides around B12 as the 3rd conference. Don’t see that happening. Cal is coming too if Stanford comes. Makes it easier for Bay Area travel and fixes the UCLA situation too.
  14. Agree. Doesn’t hurt to see what his market is at the moment. Don’t have to trade him but he should not be viewed as untouchable either.
  15. One of the beautiful things about NYC in the fall is how random bars get taken over on Saturday by alumni groups. It you have a P5 team, there is somewhere in Manhattan where you can walk in and see others wearing your colors and signing the fight song when you score.
  16. He’s a hired gun. Nets shouldn’t have expected any long term loyalty. It’s their error for catering the future around someone that was essentially treating his time with them as a consulting gig.
  17. I will guess that your employer valued what you brought to their company and culture. They were invested in your success and personal happiness. There was some loyalty to who you were and the work that you had accomplished. That’s how good corporations operate. The NBA is not this way. It is 100% what can you do for me right now to help the bottom line of getting closer to winning a championship. If they can find another body that will help them get even a little step closer, the player is out regardless of the prior relationship. Today’s players have figured this out and have taken the same approach. They are going where the best money or best opportunity to win a championship depending on their personal motivation.
  18. We are 8 years in and is there really any way to justify the decision to make Rutgers part of the B10? A big error by past leadership.
  19. Carnation Instant Bullpen Package: Soto, Fulmer, and Lange That would bring back something nice.
  20. One thing that separates the good drivers from the great is understanding that being ahead and running your tires too hard is often worse than sitting back and conserving for later in the race. I’m impressed at how Max has mastered this at a young age. Lewis is probably the best ever at it but it took him much longer to get to Max’s current level. Charles is a great talent but he’s got a lot of work to do in this area. I was impressed with his honestly and humility afterwards. George could learn a thing or two from him in this area.
  21. Ferrari leadership and strategy issues are not new. Having a car that’s capable of winning the championship is new and it’s terrible these Issues keep happening. They must make a change at the top before next year.
  22. Whatever the issue, it’s certainly been frustrating, difficult, and painful for him which is exactly what it’s like being a starting pitcher in front of this defense and batting order.
  23. This race has Binnoto catastrophe written all over it but I think Charles is going to take it and Carlos charge up to get nice points.
  24. I wonder if the Andretti’s sent him a horse’s head.
