Paschal is a great backup if Lions curse catches up to Hutch and he gets injured and busts. I actually like him a lot and saw him a bunch last season. I found myself betting on Kentucky a lot last year. He was solid against SEC competition. He’s a good all around DE. Dare I say he can hold the edge without giving everyone Trey Flowers bad vibes. Agree with everyone else though about adding another DE here though.

Enough about perceived value of WR being more important than defense. Packers and Chiefs are two franchises that are infinitely better than the Lions. They both had 2 first rounders and probably a bigger need at WR than the Lions. Not only did neither trade up like the Lions for WR but they didn’t even take one at all and ended up using all 4 picks on defense.

Nah. I was trolling MB with that Cephus comment but it’s way more than just the 66th pick. Moving from 34 to 46 is a big move too and I thought Williams was a luxury they didn’t need to take a risk on at that spot.

Is a high end speed WRreally a big deal when Jared Goff is your QB? I don’t think so but you know what they signed Chark so we will see that on a smaller scale that maybe it does make a big difference in the offense and they can go this route next year.

If you are looking at the just the picks and not the big picture then it’s a great draft. I don’t hate the picks either They got two good players. I’d have gone another direction instead of Willams

He’s not one of the best WR in the game. He’s a weed dealer now.

Many of the best WR in the game were drafted outside of the first round. The Lions last 2 Great WR drafted were 3rd and 4th rounders. It was a luxury pick that high for a team not in the best position to do so.
