I don’t know—I recall a couple of plays where he almost killed his fellow outfielders. For a Rule 5 guy, he was fine. A guy you want at AAA in case of an injury on the big squad.

I like the idea of using a later pick on a QB like Herndon or Haener, vs forgoing the defense with our higher round picks. We might strike gold, but very little risk if they don’t turn into a Purdy.

Not really a hot take. More like a dumbass one. He was successful in getting reactions, though. Hard to know what Vierling will turn into, but the metrics suggest he has more upside. I’m excited to see what he can do this season—still only has 400 AB’s under his belt and just turned 26.

Harris has to address this. We have one of the biggest International budgets and we’re projected to sign three players ranked in the 30’s. Criminal.
