that's a bit of an exaggeration as to what people thought about aj.
more posters here skewer aj for the houston thing than laud him for being a good manager.
1) that was not a good trade;
2) the lions were desperate for receivers;
3) benson is bigger and faster than kennedy and therefore has more upside, imo.
but we'll see. maybe kennedy has a market?

good write up on the wings prospects.
up: mazur, savage, sebrango
steady: niederbach, wallinder
down: bednar, cossa, edvinsson
the gritty gutty white guy who looks amazing in pre season against the other team's secind and third string?
yes, i think we all know who tom kennedy really is.
i think the opposite. kennedy doesnt play special teams and can almost assuredly make it through waivers and go back to the practoce squad. benson can return kicks and punts and that gives him the edge.
right now is a joke. they need to unionize but....who will be the organization that enforces the cba? who will they bargain with? the ncaa? lol.
the big schools will need to break off from the ncaa and form their own working group with its own central authority.
however, where does that leave the remaining sports? are the swim team going to unionize too? womens handball?
the only other sport that makes any money is men's college basketball. do they unionize?
steve stone was on the sox game talking about how so many pitchers are relying so heavily on sliders and that's why there have been so many injuries to pitchers.
2012 and 2013 were their best teams. but cabrera got injured and leyland fucked up the boston series and they lost.
c'est la vie...ou, plus ca change, plus ca la meme chose.
maybe its him recovering from food poisoning, but edvinsson has looked slow and off tonight. wallinder got undressed by a finn in the 3rd.
neiderbach has been ok.
in fairness, finland can be a hard team to play against.
mazur was great the whole tourney. cossa only played once and was just ok. bednar wasnt anything to write home about.
notre dame didnt have any games last year that registered as many viewers as wisconsin-iowa.
playing stanford and navy and a bunch of acc schools not named clemson does nothing for nbc.
notre dame - ohio state this year will be huge. notre dame-michigan...usc...wisconsin...penn state....now THAT is what nbc wants.
the big ten needs to tell notre dame (and nbc) that theyre not playing notre dame unless they join the big ten. see how many viewers nd-duke gets on a saturday night.
aj is not the problem, imo. however, if a new gm wanted to come in and clean house and bring in his own people, i'd be fine with it.
the team has regressed so badly this year that no one in management should be safe.
