Scott Rolen went through something similar. I think part of it is crowded ballots plus too many voters not knowing what to do with guys like Clemens and Bonds and Arod. The 10 player limit mucks things up for some. That's only part of the story but I think a number of voters have a "I'll get to that guy later" attitude.

Yes. There's a large contingent of people who think Oct 7 either didn't happen or was an IDF operation. And in Jordan the opend up a restaurant called.... "October 7". These are the people Joe Biden is supposed to pander to. A group not only dumb eough to believe Jan 6 type propoganda but also to devalue human life to such a degree that a terrorist attack is to be celebrated.

yeah that's the Ally building. Went up in the 90's I believe. The intent was to do 2 of them side by side.

I remember when it was here and learning about the ticket distribution.... it gets divvied up pretty fast. You figure the allotment for the teams involved. Plus the Home stadium gets some for it's ticket holders, I know the Lions had a lottery for theirs. Then the league itself, plus all the other teams, and add in the advertisers that want their share... they go pretty fast.

Trumpies don't believe in things like the moon landings, or that JFK is dead, etc. so we can trick them into thinking Obama is still alive.

I was surprised at the hesitation I saw on CC, not only here, but other places. Then i looked at his numbers again.... wasn't as good as I remembered. Yeah he was good... but not as dominant. I wonder how many voters do, or have done, what I have done without even looking at the numbers again? Just go with their gut and memory and that's that?

Any reasonable person knows he belongs but given the stupidity some voters have with regard to a fear of how high players percentage is, I understand the surprise. Although to Hongbit’s point earlier I think those folks are dying off.

Politico had a story about a NH voter. Mid 50s. Retired military. 6 figure IT job today. $600K house. Yet why is he so angry? He was an Obama/Trump voter. Ashli Babbit was also an Obama/Trump voter. I suspect there’s a lot of them. Someone needs to figure out who they are and what happened and can they be turned? Was Obama enough of an outsider for them at the time?

Growing up my dad, who was retired, after going to bed, would get up at midnight and walk out in the front room in his underwear and T Shirt and flashlight and watch the Three Stooges on channel 50. every night my youngest son, special needs boy that he is, watches the three stooges that he records on the DVR as he falls asleep and laughs hysterically. I like to think there’s a connection going on somewhere between him and someone who died almost 14 years ago.

The Michigan GOP has competition

The WSJ called the Lions the biggest sports story right now, and said it's not even close. The rest of the country is buying into this team. Dan Campbell's picture showed up on the freaking Drudge Report in a link to a story about him. Given all of that I don't see why the league, if they did fix or prefer things, would do it against the Lions. It doesn't pass the smell test. This is not a brief cinderella story. It's someting that was started midway through last season and kept going and there's no reason to think it won't continue. They didn't come out of nowhere. Stories like that are good for business and that's what the NFL cares about.

He would have had dirt on Falwell Jr and that lot and also the Stormy stuff.... the Enquirer shut that down and emgargoed it. I think if that gets out early enough in 2015/2016 it might have stopped him. Of course everybody in the GOP was saying the right things about Trump at the time but the voters didn't care so maybe not.

I've always wondered if Larry Flynt were still alive would he have had an impact on the rise of Trump and the evangelicals that caved in to him. I think he would have been able to stop it early before it grew from just a pod into a solid root and tree.

I started using the GoodReads app to track my reading. I fall into a habit of reading books twice. I'm a non fiction guy and I focus on specific topics, mostly space related or entertainment history. My wife and friend make fun of me because they get into the self help type books and I just can't do it. I read for enjoyment, I like myself and dont need help, and I don't want to be preached at or lectured while chilling out. Currently I am reading Geddy Lee's book and re-reading Easy Riders, Raging Bulls by Peter Buskind. It's about the rise of the directors in the late 60s and 70's, Coppola, Hopper, Bogdonavich, Scorsese, etc and how they changed Hollywood from the old studio system.

I don't get the idea that Haley should drop out, unless you are scared of her winning the primary. He got 3 more delegates than she did last night.

Great question. Like… is Chris McCosky going to get a vote? That kid on the podcast at the Freep?

HOF announcement at 6. Beltre is a lock. Mauer, Helton, and Wagner will be close. have no issues with any of the 4. I thought Mauer would be more of a lock.

As long as you aren't spending the milk money.... you won't miss this money in 3 years but the memories will be with you no matter what happens. Do it. During the 2006 Tigers run I had to drop like $1600 for my playoff tickets. To off set the cost I sold the 2nd game of both the LCS and WS. So yeah.... for $120 I missed Magglio's HR. That kind of thing will never happen again to me because of money.

We had a dry run with Khashoggi.

Never say never with these stooges that make up the GOP today. There's been too many "Surely they won't do that will they?" moments since 2016. The only thing holding them back would be the R Senators.

She barely makes the age cutoff.... She'll be 35 in December. I assume the age is inauguration day, not election day.
