  1. And how would Anderson covered another network doing that?
  2. Too bad the writers strike has shut down late night shows. I’d be interested in Colberts take on CNN give Licht’s history with his own show.
  3. Yeah at the game. When they display the lineup they were showing OPS.
  4. Too bad she isn’t in Florida or Texas. Those governors are very sympathetic to murderers.
  5. This is my fourth game and my last game, Scherzer, I was in a suite and couldn’t see the board. Before that, against the Giants, I had my wife with me and she was commenting about the “batting averages not being too good”. But last night was the first time I noticed during every inning. I am thinking it is to help “liven” things up.
  6. On the scoreboard when they list the batting lineup they used to display batting average. Tonight they showed OPS. Mostly 5-700’s. One notable exception was a .450.
  7. Some would argue Jon isn’t either
  8. I was thinking of that too. Probably where I got it from. That episode ranks low among the best episodes but I really like it for some of the humor. When they're trying to blackmail the native americans into pointing out that their top spokesman is not native american..."They already know..... it's like finding out James Caan is not really Italian". Then Silvio and Tony kind of look at each other like they didn't know. "Gary Cooper's gay?"
  9. These issues are so ripe for rumor and speculation and the "employer" really can't say anything. I've dealt with it as a manager and it's frustrating when people insist on knowing more than I could legally divulge. It's private. There's rules. Remember that time when Magglio was going thru stuff and it turns out his wife had a cancer scare?
  10. to be fair, reading is MAGS's strong point.
  11. Black Crowes count? I don't mean the rock radio staples but you could find some hidden gems with more of an indie sound.
  12. If the team is doing well at the deadline then you just make a choice between a trade making your org better going forward or ride him out to do as well as this year. I don't think it's a hard choice. Don't make a trade just to make a trade. Both scenarios are a positive in my book. This is different from 2017 with the JD trade because that team had given up and winning more games at that point wouldn't do much in terms of goodwill because the org signaled that things would be rough for awhile. But now the expectations are different and winning more games will matter going forward, even if a big contributor to that win total will be leaving for FA. Let him be someone else's problem in 3 years.
  13. You can cover Trump as he's the probable GOP nominee, until someone outpolls him, but it should be noted every time he's under indictment, liable for sexual assault, and encouraged an insurrection in an attempt to stage a coup. Those 3 things are all true and can be said each time he's brought up in a story.
  14. yeah I can see that for sure.
  15. but we also gave them casinos.
  16. yeah but God deemed it so that Nordic and Anglo Saxons were destined to be here. It's ours. Never mind those here before. We gave them the gift of.... whatever.

Click the link to get to the interactive map. It's interesting to note that when you click the area in Detroit along the river bound by 75,94, and 96, its' only 24,000. Granted it's a small area but it's also Detroit and that's essentially an average crowd at Comerica Park.
  18. people act like we've never had migrants before.
  19. We are going to San Diego in July and my mother in law had to tell my wife... "Just be careful". When she asked why she was told "Well it's close to the border...." My wife laughed.
  20. Don't forget the profile pic of them with their boat. Or the "staring at the screen from the front seat with sunglasses on"
  21. HW Bush was to the left of Reagan. Reagan's people didn't want him as VP and Bush wasn't a big fan of Reagan's anyway (Voodoo economics) but felt called into service when asked to run. Even though he lived in Texas as an adult he was part of the more liberal Northeast republican establishment.
  22. Meanwhile in the continuing saga of the Michigan GOP evolution into the dumpster....
