I truly don’t understand where this narrative came from about Scott Harris being “afraid”. Especially when you consider he’s been in charge for only 3 seasons and they made the playoffs in 2 of them. It’s an urban legend with no basis in reality.

I reject the sports talk show takes. The other team wants to win too. They have good pitchers. We have good pitchers. This wasn’t some blowout. We held their guys. They held ours. We made defensive plays. They made defensive plays. At some point there’s a break. This game and series was a coin flip. You don’t need to make any grand conclusions because of it. You don’t alter a blackjack strategy because of a few hands.

I’m glad it wasn’t a walk.

As a Tiger fan it will hurt. As a baseball fan it was amazing.
