  1. I watched 15 minutes of the first episode and as a space junkie had trouble getting past certain things that, even though it was alternate history, were still slightly inaccurate. But that's a ME problem. Every historical based program will have those problems.
  2. For some reason the Apple shows are a black hole for us, other than Severance. Everybody I know and who's opinions I trust tell me great things about all of them, especially For All Mankind, the alternate space history where the Russians win the moon race. But yeah.. Severance is good. After about 45 minutes into the first episode I almost gave up thinking it was a Kubrick knock off but then I got the point. I would have dreams about the show.
  3. When he was at ESPN they did Pac 12 games together. At the 2:50 mark they bring up Torkelson.
  4. and isn't that the source of his history with Bill Walton?
  5. Only one thing can save Cracker Barrel now
  6. Dammit... now I gotta hear from my boomer MIL and sister about "how stupid" it is that the game is on Apple TV and "why do the Tigers do that?"
  7. 3 1/2 years of this ****.... What happens when they order the secret service to arrest Barack Obama? Seriously. What procedures are there in place to stop that from happening? You don't think it can happen? Or he just issues an order or they smuggle a law through that says former POTUS don't get protection anymore. Nothing is off the table anymore and podcasts won't save our country.
  8. Byron Donalds is who Chappelle was making fun of in one of his greatest bits.
  9. It was all time. I don’t have the link now.
  10. I always associated #34 with a good player. But it's been kind of average. This is from 2022.
  11. whining about prices if what poor people do and poor people are woke and it's not good being woke.
  12. Generally agree except I'll add if Skubal was having the kind of impact years as a position player they'd be more willing to make him a franchise guy. But since he's a P they won't take the risk. If they somehow knew he'd stay healthy for 8 more years, they'd do it. Would this regime have extended Cabrera the 2nd time? No. They would have done what the Cardinals did with Pujols.
  13. as a child of the 80's I'll allow a Johnny O reference in the Tigers forum.
  14. I'm glad they're doing it but I think it's fair to wonder if the team had, say reached the 2nd round of the playoffs last year, and had a lot of ticket sales, would they be doing it? I mean... the same day I got an email about a 5 game package that included this game.
  15. That made me like him more. If Bauer had a case he could sue. He hasn't. There's a reason no MLB has gone after him to help their club.
  16. y'aint from around here iz ya boy?
  17. I would never want a dome here.... the weather isnt that bad. If MN can get by without one, so can we. My wife makes fun of me for never wanting to go to a Rays game when we've done our vacations down in that area. Inside baseball stadiums are not appealing to me at all
  18. I was there last month and the Padres were on the east coast so the games were on in the late afternoon/early evening. We were on the beach and every bar we walked by had the Padres on every TV. and people were engaged with it.
  19. Or got lit up. As in lit up… if you know what I mean.
  20. You have no ****ing idea what you are talking about. Just quit now. I’ve been on undercover operations and this is not how they are carried out.
  21. Some peoole just hate being exposed to things. It’s TV. Why do you need “more baseball” when you can see what happens. It’s not like Bennetti ignores the plays. He just interjects an anecdote here and there. He’s not sacrificing anything by referencing pop culture or making a joke. Venn diagram please of people who hate Benetti and also coincidentally female broadcasters.
  22. I think a lot of those are already in danger just as people become smarter and have access to more info. I haven't used an airline booking agent since 2002, and that was a corporate booking thing thru American Express. The company made us do it. For some of it, I suspect it's similar to people thinking calculators and computers would get rid of engineers since it replaced slide rules. No. It was just a tool to help them be better.
  23. Yes. His dad was a union official so he knew how the game was played.
  24. This is what happens when we give out participation trophies
