it's not the job of other people to prove your point. Until you prove it then it's regarded as gibberish.
-
It's not an insult. You said you didnt know, therefore admitting to your ignorance.
-
I'll let this ignorance speak for itself then

Yes. I go on etsy and order a vest that says "POLICE" on it.

I want my free chick fil a sandwich. I've gotten used to them this season. I've had 5 of them so far.

It was and my gut told me also that it sparked the team. But when I went to verify that was their 6th win in 7 games. And they followed this win with losing 2 of 3 at the Cubs. But then they won 6 in a row. I think it sparked the fans interest again. I still can't pinpoint when I actually expected them to make the playoffs.

It should upset everyone that masked people can get away with just snatching people off the street. It should be very clear to everyone who's around who they are and what their official business is. This is not a police state.

They were too busy looking up the NFL on Fox schedules

I think anybody on the lists for the first 15 rounds have mastered that to a certain degree. The point I was trying to make is I don’t see it as a drafting skill if you got an MLB guy in round 7 because if the team before you picked him I don’t see it as a guarante he makes it. I’m not saying its all random but outside of the top 5 picks and the can’t miss players that fall thru the cracks, like a piazza, it’s your dev ops that will sustain you.

WKRP - Johnny Fever every Johnny Fever clip from WKRP followed by the song he hyped.

Holton should have had that

What’s all that **** flying around? Looks like bubbles. Pollen ?

I stand by Biggs old statement that Tony Clark is the line on a good draft. If you can get him or better then you win. it’s not drafting. It’s development. Those two things are mutually exclusive. Players aren’t finished products. Good orgs can make good players. And not every good player needs to play for your org for 10 years. “Know when to fold ‘em”. I want a history of this team where in 5 years we are talking about players doing well who is not in anybody’s radar now.

I agree on Eduardo. The critics overstate his value when everything since seems to go against that. The critics weren’t in the room or on the calls.

The same reaction towards DD if he had traded Scherzer prior to the 2014 season since he wouldn't sign him and the team got swept in the 1st round by the Baltimore Orioles. "He wasted the best pitching staff since the Braves in the 90's..." "Max would have been the difference maker"

Hank Winchester cleared of all charges

Yeah it wasn't conclusive to me either and it wasn't worth Baldelli being a clown again.

the need to produce content and to just "say something" leads to having to make assumptions and to over analyze every decision. At the end of the day, it's going to work or not work. That's it. You have a 50% chance of being right. Guessing on a deal "working out" is like guessing whether a baby is going to be a boy or a girl. Some will come up with crazy theories and that 50% chance of being right gives them fake credibility on that theory.

that doesn't mean he is scared or timid. If a blackjack player is following a system and the system says "Don't hit on this", it doesn't mean he's risk averse.

what do the numbers mean for context? Dark blue looks like it's in the middle of the chart of colors so is that "average"? I'm confused by dark blue being in the middle of a chart with lighter blue going on way, followed by dark red, then lighter red. The intensity of the color should match the extreme, no?

Maybe it's different motives but I don't care. I hope this is true. I hope everybody involved in that is held to account. I don't care if it's Trump, Biden, Clinton, Tom Hanks, Ernie Harwell, or Billy Graham, or Mister Rogers.... anybody who is known to have been in that world exploiting children deserve what's coming to them.

what I reject is the baseless charges that he's 'scared' or whatever. it's a fallacy that's been allowed to grow. As someone I follow said.... "Nobody's writing Moneyball 2 about an old guy who has lunch with Lynn Henning twice a year".

I hate to say it because I know many here read them and post about them but the folks from places like Bulwark aren't really accomplishing anything. I'm not suggesting they have a job to do to elect democrats but their readers and viewers have to realize that just talking about things in a way that's framed from a pre trump world will not reach the required people to the degree to win elections. I'm talking about sunday talk shows, nightly talk shows, etc. We can preach all we want about how horrible he is and his admin is but you need a D congress to begin to attack it. As long as they rubber stamp his ideas then they will become laws. The game plan different now. The scoring system is different. It's cricket vs baseball.

groupthink is the right word. A narrative is born and they read it every day and it becomes fact to them. Like conspiracy theories, like religion.... When the professional media do it I always wonder if it's because he and his team don't talk like the old guys do.

In the mid to late 90's there was a vendor at Ned Skelton stadium in Toledo for the Mud Hens. It took is a minute to figure it out but then once we became aware it made sense. He would say things like "Who wants my meat!" Once he said "For the love of god will someone buy this last hot dog, the Red Wings are on tonight and I want to watch them".
