He's really hard to watch at the plate right now Yeah, Schoop is cooked. He should basically be relegated to ninth-inning defensive replacement and garbage-time pinch-hitter at this point. Sure, he’s going to have to start some games some time, and actually yesterday would have been as good a time as any (getaway game against a flailing team), but he probably shouldn’t start more than once a week. Edit: Read his name too fast, it's actually Nick Gordon. Aaron Hicks, Jean Segura and Cavan Biggio are also having terrible starts this year. RandyMarsh Posted May 8, 2023 Share Posted May 8, 2023 I mentioned it before but Schoop had that one Ruthian month in 2021 that he parlayed into an extension but other than that he has been trash at the plate for atleast the last 2 and a half seasons so it's not like this is just a poor start for him.
