It could be worse I guess... while I don't love the idea of commercials on the jersey there could be far worse options then a Michigan based Meijer. Tenacious D
It was inevitable and not horribly executed. Tigers Twitter is freaking out worse than the time when their collective mother’s suggested that they might charge rent if they continued to live in their basements. CaliforniaDreaming
Looks fine to me. The Astros and the Mets have horrible looking sponsor patches on their uniforms.

Tiger337
I hate **** like that, but it is relatively unobtrusve. The Nike Swoosh sucks.
chasfh
Sure, why not? Meijer is already on the hockey helmet the players wear after home runs. Totally unsurprising that Tigers' ownership would whore out to corporate sponsors what is supposed to be a spontaneous celebration. Part of the reason why it sucks. theroundsquare
the nike logo placement is a bazillion times worse than this
Jim Cowan
I don't hate it. Could be worse, could be online gambling.

Toddwert
Could this be a clue to who might buy the naming rights to the ballpark in the future?

tiger2022
It can't be any worse than the WCF patch the Lions have had on their jerseys for the past 10 years or however long it has been since he passed away.
Tigeraholic1
Meijer is a huge part of Michigan, so I am ok with it. At least it's not an ambulance chaser law firm or Wall Side Windows.
RandyMarsh
Don't get me wrong I LOVE Meijer but something about their logo being on the jersey just makes it seem cheap, more so than if it was branded with a different type of business. Like it's something you would get as a free giveaway at the game or it makes me think of the knock off jerseys they sell at their store. Oh well I guess Meijer is better than Little Caesars I suppose.

It isn’t glaring on the h9me uniforms. It’s nice that the normal red font for Meijers has been replaced with navy to blend in with the jersey. holygoat
The Meijer patch is second to that pointy "D" as the worse parts of the home uni.
Tigeraholic1
After further review, that patch itself is ugly. I think it would look MUCH better if they embroidered the letters into the sleeve rather than that cluncky patch.
Archie
I think the patch looks like cheap advertising, which it is. I wish MLB never allowed any advertising on uniforms but it looks like the wave of the future along with sports betting. Motor City Sonics
The patch doesn't bother me. At least Meijer is using the Tigers shade of blue and not their brand color of red, which would look awful. Just win ball games. I don't care about anything else. Motor City Sonics
It was the Illitch organization that brought ads to the boards in the NHL, right? And then the ice surface and then MLB followed suit with ads on the walls (which they did back in the olden days). I just hope that Rob Manfred decides not to, after threatening the city of Milwaukee with relocating the Brewers, to lot allow multiple ads on MLB uniforms like a NASCAR thing. Who knows what that idiot will do next.
