Sports_Freak Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 After a day off, you come out with Wentz? Haven't we seen enough outta this guy? 1 Quote
Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 well, they managed to not give up the lead till the 3rd inning. moral victory? Quote
AZTigersfan Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I look forward to the day that Wentz does not pitch for our team anymore. 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 I'm not really seeing what they think they are going to get out of Wentz. The FB is mediocre, and the breaking ball command isn't sufficient to get guys out without a better FB. I guess he doesn't have a relief profile either so he starts until they give up on him ? 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Wentz wasn't much, but it might have helped if the Tigers had caught the damn ball better. Quote

Tigermojo Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Vierling is having his second monster month. Makes me wonder what kind of hitter he will end up being. He goes for stretches where he's one of the best hitters in the game and then much longer stretches where he sucks. Quote

Take Ibanez. Seems to always either do nothing, or have a multi hit game. And at the other end we've talked a lot about Candelario who seems to have long stretches on and then off. Now Vierling similarly. Edited September 13, 2023 by gehringer_2 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Parker looking tentative at the plate. Quote

That’s probably most baseball players. 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 that should do it. I was expecting even more scoring in this one - Johnson with the smallest strike zone I have seen an umpire call in a long time. Quote

Tigermojo Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Well that sucked. Four unearned runs. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Why did they send Ibanez home there? What a stupid play. Do they have plane to catch or something? They couldn't wait to end that one. Quote
AZTigersfan Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 And Carpenter swing at one at his eyes to end it. He and Baddoo refuse to walk and swing at bad pitches trying to be heroes. Smh Quote
