In the past 10 days, a) a teenage dude in BC shot up a school killing eight, but police took pains to refer to him as “female” even when it was still an active shooter situation and then again in the press conference the next day; b) a Quebecois won a human rights judgement because the pull-down menu of the online booking system of a hair salon only had male or female as options not non-binary; and c) a local teachers union in suburban Vancouver took an 8-time elected school board trustee to a human rights tribunal for his Facebook posts about gender ideology and after a 9- year process (!) he was fined $750k. You can criticize your insurance provider. In Canada there are many things we can’t criticize our government about.

And then drifted back. I can see why McDavid would stay back a bit, your forwards do that in 3 on 3 so they can be sprung after a save, but no excuse for Makar when he saw Jack Hughes alone.

the real reason we scored was dylan larkin distracting everyone, pulling the defense away from a wide open jack hughes.  🙂

At the end of the 2nd when it was still tiedand the Canadians were outshooting the US so badly I said to a buddy that if the US got it to overtime they would win it because Hughes and Larkin are probably the best 3 on 3 players in the game.  Shoulda made a prop bet! 😟

Well, let’s at least give Canada credit for something. They could probably have the whole Canadian national team euthanized in less time than it took the USA to put them to sudden death in overtime.

Yep, as did Lucas Raymond. I didn’t really see a lot of Mo Seider’s games to know, but understand he played a lot of minutes.

I would love to see LCA in Larkin’s first game back. He earned a standing ovation.

Canada should have won 5-1.  What a great game and bringing out Johnnys jersey and family made it all worth it. Damn.

The Habs do it very well. First game back, pregame they bring out Quebecois medalists - usually speed skaters and freestyle skiers - for their moment in the sun. Then hockey gold medalists  from the teams playing. It is Isles vs Habs this year so would have been Suzuki, Horvat and Schaefer.

Agreed. Drinking my morning coffee while watching hockey....just doesn"t seem right. And setting my alarm for 7:30 on a Sunday? Again...doesn't feel right. 😅
