IdahoBert Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I’ve been enjoying this magic carpet ride. I hope it continues. I don’t know if they’re trying to get several innings out of Englert or just one. I’m getting used to this sleight of hand “rotation“ thing working pretty well. I’m not sure how many miracles they can keep pulling out of the magician’s hat. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I remember Jacoby's Mom had alot spunk to her, wasn't the hottest Mom in the world but I'm sure she would be alot of fun. 1 Quote
Shinzaki Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Jacoby really struggled with pitch recognition ...that time he just kinda stood there and hot hit in the face by a pitch? Just stood there as it him. Really good athlete though Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 28 Posted August 28 No. Uh uh. Not. Unaffirmative. Absolutely not. Under no circumstances. Never again. 1 Quote
Evil Roy Slade Posted August 28 Posted August 28 A few weeks ago, I wouldn’t of thought they could finish above 500. Now it looks like that might possibly happen. I hope I’m not getting ahead of myself. Quote

I hope I’m not getting ahead of myself. Many people have said the 2024 Tigers would struggle to finish .500. I say our pitching has been way better than I ever thought possible. It seems like we call guys up from the minors who struggle at that level but come up here and are mostly effective. Pretty surprising. Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 28 Posted August 28 No tarp on the field. My weather app says it’s supposed to start raining in about 45 minutes though, but you never know. Quote

IdahoBert Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Maybe they could convince Todd Jones to put on a wig and run the bases Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Looks like Dan and Gibby are doing the game for TV tonight. Hopefully it won’t be a near three hour delay. Quote

IdahoBert Posted August 28 Posted August 28 mlb.tv just now unceremoniously cut the mic on Dan and Gibby and started rolling their Weather Delay screen. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 If weather channels radar is to be believed, this one at best won’t start for several hours Quote
Tigermojo Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Radar looks like the cell might sit here from 7:00 to 10:00 if it can be trusted. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted August 28 Posted August 28 My driveway is dry but my sky is really dark. Big purple clouds...it's gonna storm!! Quote

IdahoBert Posted August 28 Posted August 28 My time is two hours earlier than yours, keep in mind. 1 Quote
1776 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Tomorrow’s game is a 1:10 start. They would play two if necessary I guess. Start the first game earlier? Quote

Growing up rain delays meant WDIV would show the 1968 World Series highlights film. Sometimes the rain would stop too early so they'd cut the film off during the Game 5 part and switch back to live action. That was always a downer. 2 Quote
