smr-nj Posted July 10 Posted July 10 (yahoo.news) New policy appears to give AG power over all federal prisoner transfers Joey Johnson Wed, June 24, 2026 at 5:12 PM EDT 2 min read According to a social media post by former United States Department of Justice (DOJ) Pardon Attorney Liz Oyer, a new policy gives the attorney general the authority to send any federal prisoner to any prison in the country. The rule was signed on May 6 by Federal Bureau of Prisons Director William K. Marshall III, but has not been addressed publicly. Marshall was appointed by President Trump and reports directly to acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. According to Oyer, this gives the Attorney General the power to determine where federal prisoners serve their sentence, a determination typically made by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Oyer says the transfer violated existing rules and that this policy supersedes those rules and grants the Attorney General the right to transfer anyone, anywhere, at will. She also raised concerns that the rule would allow an Attorney General to punish political enemies by sending them to maximum security prisons regardless of their crimes and placing political allies in minimum security prisons or on house arrest. Nobody has any issues with Todd Blanche (or anybody in the AG position) having this tool that can & will be used indiscriminately to move prisoners ?? This feels like a big deal to me. Quote

This feels like a big deal to me. It’s more “flooding the zone” with so much **** that things get overlooked. This is very bad. One thing that I think deserves more attention is the amount of unnecessary deaths in Africa due to USAID cuts, but that gets looked over too. 1 Quote

Totally agree. It’s horribly tragic, and absolutely has been lost in the myriad of daily abominable actions of this administration . Quote

He will spend his next two years grabbing as many billions as he can get. My explanation would be that the The oil companies are bribing him to completely abandon climate change initiatives. I do think he will try to remain president after his term is done though. Edited July 11 by Tiger337 Quote

First of all, I think he is shooting for a trillion, and to keep being the supreme leader indefinitely. Beyond that, I don't think he cares what happens to anyone one after he dies, even Ivanka.
