Win. I hate how I get sucked into something as lame as giving a crap about another team, but it happened again. At least I don’t feel betrayed.

I confess that I feel quite happy right now. One more and I might shart myself

Nice .. Yesavage was amazing!!!!!

And in regards to my question earlier.  All the Americans in here who are pulling for the Jays (specifically for reasons outside of the scope of baseball itself), I appreciate all of you, means the world with everything going on.

Sometimes politics and sports mix. Like when the champion of a sport gets to visit the White House. With Toronto possibly winning, that would be kinda....interesting?

Complicated since the players are still mostly American, or Latin, so who knows the degree to which their sympathies are or are not with their 'home' city?

Well my dad wss Canadian but had a British Passport since they were still a colony back then so maybe that's discount and my Mother was American with American Indian bloodlines so that's an add on so I guess..well heck who can root for the pompous and conceited Dodgers so yes I am enjoying David slaying Goliath. Hope they get their scalp !

I’m in Pittsburgh this weekend.  Today it’s the Clemente museum. Yesterday was the Heinz museum which blew me away. I expected ketchup bottles. I got the Smithsonian and more.  Here’s some baseball related photos.

Two good museums. Especially the Heinz. If you are looking for other options, head toward the Natural History Museum, not far from the Pitt campus. Near there, a few blocks away is the left field wall from Forbes Field. I believe Home plate is inside the Law School.

I would also recommend Point State Park. The museum there is interesting. This was the site of the fort during the French and Indian war. Some nice views of the football stadium there as well

Thanks.  We are staying with friends.  Their son plays soccer for Carnegie Mellon so they’ve been coming here for 3 years. They just rent a place for 3 months and come out every weekend. It’s such a cool city. I had no idea.  It also nice to just be along for the ride. A jazz club last night featuring a drummer who had a display at the museum yesterday.

I loved the Heinz museum.  I wasn't planning on going, but I happened to be staying at the hotel across the street.  It is a really nice city in general.  It was a pleasant surprise.

Technically Pittsburgh is my home city. We lived outside McKeesport about 30 miles away until I was 12. Really hadn't been back to spend much time there with the eXception of visiting a few relatives until last year. My wife had a conference, I got to explore.

So I guess I’m the only loser on Halloween night watching the World Series.  All of the rest of you are getting drunk or high at adult themed Halloween parties or taking your children trick-or-treating because you’re wholesome types.
