papalawrence Posted Thursday at 07:18 PM Posted Thursday at 07:18 PM Quite a buzz about Tucker ending up in Toronto. That actually seems like a good fit imho. Springer is 36. Probably means Bo would be out. Quote

My mother in law's garage and back room is a hoarder situation. This is giving me PTSD. "We can still sell that...." I told her I'd write her a check for $1000 if I can throw everything away. 1 Quote

oblong Posted Monday at 11:55 AM Posted Monday at 11:55 AM window A/C units from the 80's were.... HEAVY. The house has toys in it. "Why do you have toys?" "Well the kids might come over". "The kids are in their 20's..." Even simple things like "You don't need 35 bath towels. You live alone. Let's throw all these away because they're probably form 1989 and we'll buy you 3 or 4" Quote
chasfh Posted Monday at 01:35 PM Posted Monday at 01:35 PM We bought a 25” Sony flat screen TV in 4:3 back in 2001 (specifically in time to watch the debut of Billy Crystal’s 61*), just before the HDTVs started coming out in earnest, and I swear to you, it must have weighed close to 100 pounds. We replaced it only two years later with our first 50” flat screen, which also must have weighed 100 pounds. We just bought a new 65” Samsung OLED flat screen this past Friday, with a screen roughly the width of a plate of glass, and it must be less than half the weight of that old Sony. Quote
oblong Posted Monday at 02:20 PM Posted Monday at 02:20 PM This summer we noticed our rental didn't have a TV in the room our son was going to sleep in. I confirmed with the owner that was the case. So we packed a flat screen in the suitcase with bubble wrap. We have 4 TV's in our basement not being used. It was small, about the size of a large laptop. But it worked Quote
