Do we have any true power hitters in our system ? Jung ? Miguel has left his imprint..Singuelio..

Right now, Jung and Malloy are probably your closest. The org is prioritizing hit tools and defense generally it seems.

Dingler has some power but is hitting like Jake Rogers so can only get to it occasionally. I'm fine with him backing up Jake next year...

Workman was supposed to have some power but it's probably better at the moment for him to concentrate on hit tool to make certain he can connect enough to get to that power (or even have a chance at getting to MLB to make the attempt...).

Luke Gold has some power and is having a nice year at WM, High-A: .568 SLG and .955 OPS.

Malloy & Baddoo & Jung as previously stated...

Guys who COULD develop power (Briceno, Campos) are too young/ early in development to have shown it much yet...

We have SOME power in the system, not a huge amount and there's a lot of risk with what power we have... And not one dominant monster power guy (with enough hit tool to actually get to it) as far as I can see...

I don't think Briceno has played in the last three or four games. Is he injured?

05/14/24 Lakeland Flying Tigers placed C Josue Briceño on the 7-day injured list.

Not sure what for also to note Wilmer Flores is on the IL as well.

Probably explains his recent performance at Toledo.  Hope it’s not serious.

Welcome back—I hope this is the last of your work-related distractions so you can prioritize the minor league updates this summer.

That makes two of us but I was able to catch a Brewers game while I was away which was a decent consolation prize.

I think he is better than Clark.

I think you may be underestimating Clark's speed, defense and hit tool. If McGonigle can stay at SS I would say it would be a harder conversation but that is not a guarantee. Clark's biggest concern is power which is understandable but that being said he's something like 10/10 on SB and has a .362 OBP at a premium defense position. Either way I'm glad they are both Tigers.

I’m sure you’re correct and I agree having both is outstanding. I think we got McMonigle with money saved from passing on Langford. Not sure if that’s correct but in my mind it was  two for one.

Jace looks like a linebacker to me. Hope he hits like one in the Majors.

Honestly, I have been a bit hesitant with Jace mainly because that odd stance I worried about high velocity stuff but honestly have been highly impressed with him. High OBP with some power I'd love to have that batting 2nd in the lineup.
