LongLiveMaroth Posted Sunday at 10:35 PM Posted Sunday at 10:35 PM I am now very interested in who gets moved up and down respectively as well. Strong and Franyerber moving up possibly. Quote
LongLiveMaroth Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago You have to think Max Anderson is soon to follow but they have been playing him at 3rd the last couple of games so maybe he'll stick in Erie to learn that position more. I don't think he has the arm or athleticism for that position but it's the minors so you might as well find out. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) Trei Cruz may never get more than a cup of coffee in the majors but I would have put long odds on even that happening 18 months ago. If that were to happen that would mean that everybody but Daniel Cabrera made it to the majors out of that draft. Was of course the Covid draft but still 5 out of 6 picks would be pretty good. Shinzaki Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago That draft landed Tork, Dingler and Keith...that was a heck of a draft. Quote

That being said if he can limit the strikeouts, I am sure that line would get even better. 1 Quote
LongLiveMaroth Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago So Valencia gets moved to Toledo; so your top 5 batting order for Erie should be something like this? Clark McGonigle Anderson Briceno Liranzo That looks pretty good. Quote
Edman85 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I'd be a bit surprised if Anderson wasn't also on the train. Funny enough, one thing that may hold him up is he was featured in the John Oliver video as one of the guys he trolled, so I wonder if he is hanging around through the Moon Mammoths game for that? 1 Quote

I would agree, Anderson does deserve to be moved up, I just haven't seen any indication of it yet. Trying to find AB's for Jung, Lee and Anderson should be interesting. Wonder if one of them will pick up a 1B or OF glove. Quote

I remember being irrationally giddy about that draft. And I really don't follow the drafts much, so what would I have known? I'm sure the COVID driven lack of baseball had something to do with it. Any kind of baseball news was an oasis for me, I guess. Quote

Yeah IIRC it was almost universally praised at the time by everybody. Ironically though Cabrera was maybe the pick I was most excited about as many of the pundits had him as a first round grade so to get him where we got him at looked like a steal and it turns out he was far and away the worst pick. Edman85 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Per the logs, Hadeen, Dobbins, and Pennington are up to West Michigan. Nothing on the corresponding moves in Toledo for Cruz and Valencia. Erie sent Hebbert down to Lakeland, so they are squared up. Quote

But I think Anderson would be called up to Toledo once one of Jung, Lee or Cruz gets called up to Detroit. Probably based on the call up being for at least a week as I don't see bouncing Anderson up and down from Erie to Toledo... And I don't know if "rest of season" comes into play for one of those three (and Anderson by extension) unless there's a season-ending injury... knock on wood. Toledo still has Ibanez/ Navigato/ Workman on the team - not priority prospects - so maybe the alternative path is to move Ibanez and Navigato somewhere so a timeshare (add in DH) will open up enough time for Anderson? If nothing else... per your suggestion... who wants to grab a 1B glove? And that could just as easily be Anderson as Jung or Lee. In fact, I'd choose Jung and Anderson for trying that... Quote

1984Echoes Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago That looks like 7 utility IF'ers between Lee, Jung, Cruz, Navigato, Kreidler, Workman and Ibanez. I'm assuming Anderson to Toledo would be the priority guy and get most of his starts at 2B (unless they want to try him also at 1B?) It still looks like a utility guy or two would need to go to Detroit, or Erie... or somewhere. Even with playing Workman and Kreidler in the OF quite a bit (I think Cruz also has been played quite a bit in the OF this year and last year IIRC...). What does everyone else think...? Quote
