Lee has spent all of his his age 22 season at AAA. that's another great data point, if "age at level" is important to you.

Max Anderson has spent all of his age 23 season at AA, which is just fine as well.

I guess Briceno is indeed overrated, according to BA:

Here was the write up on Rainer - for reference Konnor Griffin is their #1 overall prospect

The Skinny: One of two high profile prep shortstops in the 2024 draft, Rainer hasn’t had the rise of Konnor Griffin in 2025, but if not for a season-ending shoulder injury he might have ranked even higher. Rainer is an advanced hitting shortstop with a plus power-hitting peak

Some interesting things I was looking up about a couple of prospects I have been keeping tabs on.

Pacheco must hate even months.

April .212/.366/.364
May .337/.440/.627
June .227/.370/.394
July .341/.492/.545

He also hates playing at home .255/.390/.404 vs .311/.442/.576 Away

Liranzo has increased his BA each month, all while having only 9 AB's against pitchers younger than him.
April .180/.315/.344
May .231/.359/.423
June .242/.377/.435
July .288/.360/.424

Similar to last year, and makes sense as a catcher handling a pitching staff.  Similar to Dingler's adjustments to new leagues.

Also, Pacheco is 22 (and in high-A)...

Has he found his batting stroke, like Meadows... after struggling just barely over the Mendoza for his career so far...?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Pre-Deadline Top 100 Prospects Update | FanGraphs Baseball

Quote

McGonigle’s BP at the Futures Game was opinion-altering. He has real juice in his hands, and he’s going to get to his power in games not only because he’s a skillful hitter, but because his swing is geared for launch. His arm isn’t a fit at shortstop. You could argue he should be the lone 65 FV prospect given the state of second base at the big league level right now, which aside from Ketel Marte and Jazz Chisholm Jr., is really light on power hitters.

McGonigle is #1, Clark #9, Briceno #32, Liranzo #34, Melton #70. No mention of Rainer.

I don't know about McGonigle in particular, but I have to wonder if often scouts aren't too quick to dismiss guys at SS because they don't have 95mph. Total time from ground ball to 1st baseman's mitt is more than just throw velo and it's exactly the kind of thing that teams have the metrics to get a better handle on than they used to.

Not sure why they’re higher on Liranzo than Briceno.  The K/BB rates are night and day

At least right now it looks like Liranzo is sticking behind the plate. That would be my guess on why he’s rated higher.
