Yes we know, its nothing new.  Its just a waste of time.  We have no need for ancient ways, our world is doing fine.

Ironic in light of the Ayn Rand humpers who are all over the tech bro world are currently creating the conditions in that song.

I love Skubal being our Bill Laimbeer.  Nothing like having a evil sociopath mindset as a pitcher.

Hope the Piston analogies stop there.  We don't need a Dennis Rodman on the team.

Actually we kind of do.    We had the pre-totally insane Rodman.   We needed him.  He was a total pest.   We don't win those Bad Boy titles without him.    He didn't have any serious skills, he was just relentless.    If McKinstry starts dying his hair orange........maybe he's that guy.

The Angels are so bad. Makes me wonder if a team like LAA might throw a huge wad of money in Harris' direction. Hinch et al have also played a huge role in shaping the culture. This is so fun to watch.

Could they just them Jason Benneti and call it good?

first time I ever saw a pitcher try to leave the mound and have the manager say, nope I've no one up throwing so you're staying in

Did I hear it right, Jansen hadn’t pitched in over a week prior?  And not due to injury, just out of not being used?   Seems to be poor pitching management.

Trying to turn the Tigers into bad boys is a stretch!  They've got talent and they play hard.  That's good enough for me.

let me rephrase this.

You need an evil sociopath...sometimes that is Max Scherzer or sometimes its Jack Morris.   Sometimes, in the case of Denny McClain, its an actual sociopath.

say this about the Bad Boy Pistons....the NBA hated them and they still won championships.   I'd say that is the correct recipe for success in the Detroit market.

So maybe that’s the real reason Dombrowski moved Suarez for Simon.

WOW.  Yeah, Its not the right independent variable to be making that sort of decision on...its just a good attribute for a good pitcher.  Sheesh...Simon had a rap sheet, didn't he?

55-31 dating back to August 1st of last year. I imagine that has to be one of if not the best record in all of baseball during that time.

. 640 ball...about 104 wins over 162 games.

The worm was an amazing defender for sure.

I had just moved to Milwaukee from Detroit, working for an ad agency there, and was at a Pistons-Bucks game the row behind the floor seats. This would have been winter of 1992. Bucks knocked the ball out of bounds near me. A still-black-haired Rodman came to inbound the ball maybe ten feet from me. I yell something along the lines of, “all right, Worm, go get ’em!” He glances over my way for half a second, looking a tad startled. I don’t think he expected to hear that from a Milwaukee crowd.

I think it might have been this game. I blame myself.

What a game. I forgive them for all past misery in Anaheim. I sat and watched the stadium empty while we mashed four homers in the ninth. Wow.

Haha, how fun.  There seemed to be quite the Tiger contingent behind the dugout.

Not only was this pre-MTF, it was pre-MTS and probably even pre-alt.sports.basketball.detroit-pistons.

Teams attempt that many 3 pointers in the 1st quarter now. Maybe even more.
