Hoping for a betting touts sucked in the punters because the Tigers looked like an easy loss with rookie pitcher going.  That implies that all the games are fixed.   Which...if CB Buckner last night was any indication...

Getting ready for my walk along the river today and I’m sitting on a bench in front of a candy store and Mr. Jelly Belly is a little too friendly but at least he doesn’t talk a blue streak. Have a good game fellow travelers.

To rob a concept from a popular meme...the beatings will continue until the pitching improves..and the hitting...and the fielding..and the baserunning.

Uniforms look clean though...so there's that

This is like when you're feeling rundown at work and can't wait for the 4-day long weekend to come so you can feel rejuvenated. Then you come back from that weekend hoping for a fresh start and a week later you're feeling as burnt out as you did beforehand.

Non-game-related-post alert:

I have recently noticed that the music coming out of the breaks on radio are now these generic rock riffs from studio musicians (or, perhaps more likely, created in Garage Band). It used to be actual songs that went fairly deep into the classic album rock catalog, like “Eighteen” from Alice Cooper, or “Highway Star” from Deep Purple. I understand why they would make the change, but it’s just one more small change for the worse that characterizes our current match through time.

huh, my phone picks up and recognizes a lot of the songs. but it does seem like they've considerably narrowed the catalague, now that you mention it, mostly metal stuff that I don't know and a RHCP song that I only recognize because it gets played there a lot.
