Let's just win this series tonight

Getting it over with now is a good idea, if I should be so bold as to paraphrase Martha Stewart.

The difference is I have expected him to go through a bad stretch all year.

I also hope that the heavy use of LHP last night by White Sox means they are burned and can't throw as many at Greene, Mckinstry and Carpenter tonight.

Zack Mc also had a bad one last night

Alexander usually pitches like Cy Young against the Tigers and did again last night - Zach had 2 AB against him, and he had to come back after the delay against a new pitcher with a 2 strike count So the circumstances argued a rough night was in order for him.

Yeah - I expected him to crash a lot worse than he has. After the blistering start he had a week May but then had a good June and has managed to hang around 750 OPS all through July and August, which is more than I thought he could sustain that long.

His fielding grades look weird though - of course he's moved around so much they are all too SSS, but BR grades him high as a SS and poorly as a 3B so far, but I'd argue it's the reverse that is more likely the truth.

Just the eye test, he seems to have a good arm. When he gets to a ball, he usually makes a strong throw. The problem, at least at SS, seems to be his range. IDK if the stats support it but he seems to have limited range at short.

This will be Keith's 40th game as DH. I'm surprised they don't give him more time at third.

I suppose even on his best day Keith doesn't have McKinstry's arm, so if you aren't using Zach in the OF, either Torres or Keith ends up a DH, esp since Torkelson is quietly earning  plus fielding grades at 1st this season.

I do wonder what they are going to tell Keith to work on this winter though.

Weather update; Chicago has been experiencing Thunderstorms all day long. That field, even it stops, is gonna be a soggy mess. DH tomorrow?

Thx for the updates.
