Yeah, it does... A combo of 17 with the Astros does get a bye, but the Mariners or Rangers could pass them.

The Tigers have won 81 and the Royals have lost 69, so the magic number to win the division outright is still 13.

I still don’t understood this. What is the magic number for the Tigers to be declared and to enter the playoffs as the AL Central division champions?
